Wes is a weird dude, like most of the pitching coaches around the country (NCAA and MLB). I still wonder exactly when it happened, before or after Wes was talking HC coaching jobs with other schools, but Jay took over the pitching staff last season. I still believe Wes had laid the foundation but it was all Jay down the stretch. I'm not altogether sure Jay doesn't call most of the pitching shots this year, too, though...but Nate seems like a much more level headed dude than most and will continue to do his part. Wes kind of quit on us last year.

Damn that's NicolasTiger level bad. 1998 has been a poster that has proven time and time again that he is clueless, so really this shouldn't be THAT surprising. If LSU ends up in Omaha this puts him up there on NicolasTiger level for sure. No coming back from that one.

At this point, it’s obvious that he left here in bad terms.
There were rumors that Jay pulled his duties last year. I thought that was crazy talk but the little man syndrome Wes Johnson continues to display makes me think it was accurate.
