How often did Auburn put 8 in the box? Seems like they played us straight up for the most part.
When it was an apparent run play, there were 9 in the box
We had no chance

Mett didn't play a bad game.
There are years when we would have killed for that kind of production.
Passing game has a loooong way to go. Line problems, receiver problems, new QB who didn't get much PT last year. Unfortunately we may go through it again next year.

Miles did what he had to do to secure the win. It wasn't pretty but he wasn't gonna take too many chances with the offense, especially in the second half. His defense kept Auburn off the board and he did not want to give them a short field with a silly turnover. Reminds me of the Bama game last year, very conservative but a win is a win. A few early mistakes, penalties, and dropped passes made this game close. If we fix these issues we will be ok, if we dont then we may lose 2 or 3 games.

Yep 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011-practically every year Les has coached that production we would kill for. Weird huh? Is it such a big deal for a team with the best athletes in the nation to score as many points as teams with far less talent ? Teams with assumed inferior athletes, inferior coaches, inferior support. Why can just any mediocre Joe go out and throw for 400 yards from almost any college team in FBS, yet we cant have a guy do that on our best damn day?
Just go look at what Miami's QB Stephen Morris did to GA Tech. Youre telling me Mett isnt good as him? Our WR are not as good if not better than theirs? Our OL as well? How many teams across the nation could you say the same? Must be at least 20 examples from just last night.

I am not sold on either of these. WR's just can't catch and make the big play.

Yeah 0 ints, just 2 fumbles. Those are worse than ints.
Negative. Int's are turnovers. Fumble is a 50%chance of turnover.

But you conveniently left out his 2 fumbles in your praising post. Those fumbles were huge.
They were. But they weren't Mett's fault. Porter comes in for PJ and gives Mett a tough snap and the Josh D didn't even block Lemonier.
Can't blame these solely on Mett, but they were crucial.

AU played straight up for the first part of the game, but rotated into a Cover 1 towards the end of the game. They stacked the box most of the 2nd half.
Sluggo, double moves, fly routes, seem routes, etc were open the entire second half, but we didn't ever execute. RS dropped the one bomb which was a well defended and perfectly thrown ball. We should have taken more chances like that one with JL or OBJ.
Also, the screen game was nonexistent.

I know losing Rueben randle would hurt more than people realized. We needed him to stay.

Maybe RR left because he didn't want to be in the same shitty offensive scheme.

If I was a betting man, I would say thats exactly why he left and he knew he could make $$$ and enjoy football more at the WR position by actually getting passes.

We ran two vertical routes. One was a bad throw (Mett should've thrown to the inside half of the hash and Shep runs away from the DB. He backed it up and the DB made an easy play) and the other was a drop by a freakishly athletic yet suddenly playing tighter than an over stretched snare drum wide receiver.
But Les pulled his usual bullshite media crap. Chucks it 27 times with a majority of easy, conservative boundary passes. Refuses to adjust the blocking schemes he already personally signs off on that Stud comes up with to help his tackles out.
It's a serious cause for concern that we won't make teams pay for loading the box and we refuse to adjust protection schemes from the sidelines.
That's coaching and that's alarmingly arrogant and it will cost us.

After watching that debacle of an offense, we lose to Florida probably 21-10, USC maybe but it's at home so toss up. If anyone is really honest with themselves aTm game will be just like the one last night. Bama 21 to 28-0.
9-3. Outback or Cotton

I can't argue with that. Pisses me off when he still running when there is 9 people in the freaking box

I haven't watched the replay but I saw us running into 8 men much of the game. Early on Mett threw hot reads but receivers didn't catch consistently enough to draw the safeties back.

we were DOWN for about half the game
this wasn't MSU last year where we controlled the game and MSU was no threat to win it

Complete bullshite. Mett should've thrown it to the interior part of the hash. He does that, Shep is able to run away from the DB on the adjustment to the ball.
Instead he threw it to the boundary side of the hash and made it an easy play for the AU DB.
That throw was poor placement by Mett and it cost us 6 points. He's a good kid and a good QB but that throw was a poorly placed ball and it cost us 6.
