Looking at it after the fact, yeah a bunt would have been better. I do understand the reasoning of swinging away there, because you have a big bat up there with a hitter's count and a pitcher who is trying to throw a strike. The bunt was obviously on until it got into a hitters count. Maybe we got greedy and went for more than just playing for the tie, but it backfired.

In the end we cannot change how we played all season to get us here and play small ball, we just need to find the holes out there and do what we do. If any team can make a run its us. We've had games this year similar to this one, but not two in a row. Once the bats get hot, it's on baby!

The same thing happened to us for one of the regional games. We had people eye balling us as they sat, but one old fart took it upon himself to be bleacher monitor. I bit my lip and moved down, but he looked like he's played that role many times during the season and looked forward to belittling us.
ATDHE.net shows they will be showing it. I watched the last game on here, great feed!
You can go to kenramsey.com it has schedules of all Louisiana schools.

That was a highlight TD.

That play was actually #2 on Sportscenter's Top Ten last night!

To chime in on Mett's overthrow's on the deep ball. I think he's just telling himself if my guy can't get it nobody will. He's not gonna take a chance and throw it up where the DB can maybe make a play. Also, we don't have that big reciever to go up and fight for the ball so that might have something to do with it too. He could of had 3 or 4 big plays last night if those balls are just slightly more accurate.
I read somewhere(don't feel like searching) that he had a sternum injury, maybe bruised. He might of just agrivated it on the play.

I had Wells, then Williams, Benson, now Mendenhall. Oh and Forte was out for a lil while. No luck!
The main reason Holliday was released was to make room for a LB. They signed Ruud the LB the Saints just released. Their stud LB tore his ACL.

The receivers are all capable of catching the ball consistently, the most reliable hands right now would have to be wright or boone. OBJ as well as Sheppard look for yac yards so much they dont look the ball all the way in, because they are thinking about their next move before they have the ball secured. As for Landry he has great hands so Im not worried about a few drops by him. As they all play more with Mett they'll get in a rythm as well as Mett as long as we give him time in the pocket we can throw on anybody.
Miles did what he had to do to secure the win. It wasn't pretty but he wasn't gonna take too many chances with the offense, especially in the second half. His defense kept Auburn off the board and he did not want to give them a short field with a silly turnover. Reminds me of the Bama game last year, very conservative but a win is a win. A few early mistakes, penalties, and dropped passes made this game close. If we fix these issues we will be ok, if we dont then we may lose 2 or 3 games.

re: Blacked Out

It just depends on whether they sale out or not. They just don't want to give people the tv option instead of goin to the game. I just spoke to Directv and they confirmed this, but didn't know if they sold out or not.
Maybe its because ESPN expected the game to go that way. It was a night game at home against a non-conference(Pac 10) team at that. It was impressive, but ESPN not talking about it is ok with me. We just take care of business as usual!

We just had a severe thunderstorm warning in the area, but it should move through quickly. There's a chance for scattered/isolated storms around game time. You know how that works may get pounded or may not get a drop.
My daughter's gonna be upset in the morning, she always ask me his name when she see's me on his site. I think she just likes saying Dandy Don, but even a five year old can tell a good man when she see's him. RIP Don!

I am on record saying that JR couldn't read a defense, couldn't hit a receiver in stride, was never consistent, had too many 3 and outs, and would always seem to have one stupid fumble per game where the ball just fell out of his hand.
So yes please search my history.

That pretty much sums up JJ, and I'm not trying to start a JJ thread. But that's been his major flaws throughout his career. He does run better than Russel, but that wont help him much in the NFL.[
