During this time period, Muschamp was a GA and a first year coach, at West Georgia

If there’s any issue, I think it’s the NFLSU bull shite that Orgeron’s been pushing since 2016.

This site is a willing accomplice in that practice.

so why does “how the money is spent” matter to you again?

because if you pay Porsche prices for a used AMC Pacer with a missing hub, won’t give you Porsche performance.

so simply spending money isn’t the answer.
spending money on the right product is what’s important.

1991 Curley Hallman 5–6
1992 Curley Hallman 2–9

For anyone that witnessed the Hallman years, what the hell happened between his first and second year? Looking at the ‘91 schedule/results, seemed like it was a hard fought 5-6. Close losses to then #13 Florida, #1 Florida State, and #8 Bama. Road wins @Kentucky and @Ole Miss. Seemed like there should have been some positive momentum going into the ‘92 season.

It's that he was that bad and dumb a$$ Joe Dean allowed him to stay 4 years!!!!!! He should've $hitcanned him after the 2-9 season.

By the way we should never hire another AD with the name of Joe unless his last name is Burrow:
Joe Dean
Joe Alleva

Dinardo was a better coach than Miles.

I am pretty sure Miles had NFLU going before I wtf. You can have both LSUNFL and players that stay at least 3-4 years, it's recruiting the right players

Ah yes! I still recall the recurrent refrain, "We are LSU! We deserve better!" in Free Speech Alley regarding our football challenges.

Just kidding.

Curley was actually 3 missed tackles from 8-3 in ‘91.

Dinardo wanted to be the smartest guy in the room so he didn't listen to any ones advice and he brought in the worst d coordinator EVER and that sealed his fate.

Miles was stubborn and thought I'm gonna stay with old school smash mouth football (schembechler)and it's gonna work but it failed against any team with equal or better talent. He refused to adapt to the changing landscape of spread football (like Saban did) and it cost him.

Several of my friends had watch parties for the Independence Bowl. That’s right kids. The Independence Bowl. It might as well have been the Super Bowl to us.

Tiger Stadium was a fricking morgue toward the end of the Curley era.

god yes. It was crazy to see how empty they had gotten. I’ll never forget losing to Colorado state in 92 lol. Then southern miss at the end of his tenure. It was so bad

I was a student in 92. I skipped the LSU-Tennessee game to study - and I didn't exactly graduate with the highest GPA.

Back in the 90s, making it to the Outback Bowl seemed like an impossible task. After all they took the third or fourth best team in the SEC. We would never be better than Auburn or Georgia.

The older tiger fans remember how things were before the 2000’s started. We were like Wisconsin, Penn St, Georgia fans are now, great traditions and great fans. I remember liberty bowls and independence bowls. Let us remember there weren’t many bowls back then so to get invited was actually a product of a good to great season. We have lost a lot of those diehard lifetime fans over the last 25 years and now we are stuck with younger fans that became spoiled soon as Saban showed up. We all like winning but I think us older folks remember the good, the bad and the ugly pre 2K. Anyway let’s hope we hire a leader on and off the field and get LSU back to the top
