Don't look now but it has been 6 qtrs that the defense has held without giving up a TD. Might not sound like a big deal but if anyone would have said that on this board 2 weeks ago they would have been biatch-slapped. This defense is starting to grow up.

The really positive is that from the way some of the juniors have played on defense their should be only 2 people leaving Barrow and Loston and that is because their eligibility is up. We could be back to LSU defense by next year.

The only problem is at this point it looks like OBJ, Landry & Hill are gone to the NFL along with Mett whose eligibility is gone also and those are freaking HUGE losses. Can we catch a freaking break.

The person who is staying is Cam Cameron though hopefully others will step up on offense.

I know there is no way this happens, I understand it when they can get drafted high and get paid that is the goal. But it would sure be nice if OBJ, Landry & Hill could see the potential of the defense next year and realize that if they came back can't see how we would not be a front runner "Top 3" to win it all with them coming back.

LIke I said, understand if they decide to go they have earned it, but it sure would be nice to see them stay to earn that NC, If they don't get it this year.

The D hit people today, gang tackled and pressured the QB. Not more you could ask for really other than maybe nabbing one of those passes we could have picked.

Realistic fans said every game would be a shootout from here on out.

We better score 45+ per game or else we will lose.

Let's all be sure to be realistic and realize that we don't have good athletes or good coaching. And the downward spiral that they have been predicting for the last 5 years is finally happening.

I remember reading that there was no way we were beating Florida because we wouldn't be able to score enough on their great defense to make uo for how many points out defense was going to give up.

Dudebro, LSU only has one loss. TOP 5-3-2-1 finish isn't out of range

I WISH but there is zero chance of that happening after the way they have played this year!

they have played better, but keep in mind that Uf was without their starting QB and MSU almost beat by freaking Bowling Green.

the last 2 teams weren't exactly offensive juggernauts.

This is the same story after every win. Someone comes out and says the team we beat wasn't worth a crap trying to devalue a win. I'll take a win over Florida every year even if their quarterback was Molly Rae Cyrus. BTW, Murphy is much better than their former starting QB.

imagine how solid our D could be if we played with 11 men on the field, not 10 and Chavis' bestie.

you must not have watched Florida. We would have won 17-0 or more if they had Jefferson lite aka Driskel that guy was bad.

Three of the 6 qtrs we held the opposing offense to 0 points, and the other three they were held to one field goal.

Keep it up Defense!

This year? When?? First half of the Auburn game...that's about it. This is the best game they've played. UF's offense is not very good, but some of the other offenses weren't either and we didn't play this well.

We're a lot better, but were not making a ton of plays like we're used to seeing. Basically we're getting consistent, keeping everything in front of us and forcing teams go the length of the field and not make a mistake to score and they rarely do it.

Starting to see glimpses of big plays. Hopefully we can turn that corner soon too.

We don't have to be good on defense.. Just get couple stops and a to.

Offense will carry us.
Good to see some improvement.
Hunter looked good and 18 had his best game this year.
