Well, Jesse Palmer was right on his outside the box prediction...

He would be surprised if Burrow threw for more than 300 yards this past weekend.
However, I seriously doubt he would believe that Burrow would go 21-24 for 293 and 3 TDs, with LSU rolling up 511 yards of offense on 47 plays; and two of those plays were us running the clock out to end the game.
If our defense could have gotten off the field on some 1st half 3rd downs, it would have been 49-21 or worse.

If our running game wasn't so effective Burrow would have thrown for more yards. It's just a trade off.

He was right, because we rolled up 220 yards rushing and scored fast as hell as usual.

Running game stole some yardage from Burrow, including Burrow's 43 yards there

It’s nice to have a QB and offense that passing less than 300 yds is the low end of our expectations. We well remember those 85 yd passing games.

Jesse Palmer gives great opinions. My god, I really can't stand the LSU fans who want to jump on a sports host for just stating anything negative about LSU.. It wasn't even negative. He bragged about LSU home field at night and even stated it was the toughest venue he had ever played at during his college years. He also picked LSU to win!, yet when he states something like the game will be closer than the what the spread is showing, he turns into a loser !
