They thought early on that McMillan would be in the running for Starting? I didn’t think so even before Burrow transfered.

It would be ideal if it were JM challenging. Would allow LN and MB to work on their weaknesses and get ready to take over when ready.

I fully expected JM to take the first snaps against Miami alternating with Burrow. By 4th quarter the job is Burrow’s. You can’t just walk into a 4 man race and win week one no matter how much better a QB he may be. Game experience will separate Joe.

I certainly hope not. This is a recipe for disaster.

If he starts, the 18 season bowl streak will be in serious jeopardy.

If the OL can't pass block we are going to see Narcisse as the QB. Run read option the whole game to take pressure off our OT's

How do you know that he is? The only indication of that is speculation and innuendo from people picking apart O's press conference and stats that were released that may or may not and probably are not even real.

Plenty of teams across college football don’t have the race settled week 1. They Trot a guy out and If he gets rolling he stays if not they trot another one out. That’s how Jalen Hurts won the job game 1. 2 years ago.

I hope not as well. I just don’t see Ed having a clear leader by Miami.

Why do you think they went after Burrow so hard?

JJ part deux was their best option, because they have little confidence in these RBs and SE system (whatever that is). They needed legs, and Myles don't have them

If Burrow's clearly the best then he should play the entire game. As HC of LSU you don't sacrifice a game to avoid hurting feelings. We cannot afford it.

If O can't make a command decision and have that decision respected by the team, then it's just another example that he's not the man that needs to run this team.

Justin's style includes a decent amount of running as a mobile QB. I think he's going to get crushed by SEC defenses with that frame sooner or later.

Believe it will be
Starter: Burrow
2nd/wildcat: Lowell
3rd: McMillan
4th: Brennan(red shirt, coaches I am sure are concerned he can’t gain weight needed)

Billy Cannon has a better chance of being starting QB than McMillan. Never been more serious in my life.

If JM wins the job and plays well, so be it... it will mean he earned it.
