re: Weeks looked good last night

Whit weeks is plenty fast for a linebacker. He is a ball hawk. Only thing he needs to work on is not getting sucked into gaps and letting the ball carrier go untouched into the secondary. This is bad because we know our veteran safeties are not very good.

He was the guy on that goal line stand that stopped the QB not burns.
Burns had a HUGE part of that tackle.
Need to give credit where it's due. He lowered the shoulder and took the runner head on. Weeks assisted from the side.

I don't think he's particularly fast. But I don't know his 40 time.
4.4 - 4.5 (high) in high school

You do realize that if Weeks doesn't show up he scores. Burns hits him and then of course instead of staying in front he gets spun around good thing weeks shows up right before the goal line because remember all the ball carrier had to do was cross the plain of the endzone.

The number of racially tinged comments in this thread reminds me why I no longer live in Louisiana. We can’t even have a discussion about a good player who’s giving it is all for our team, without bringing skin color into it and making it some kind of comedy skit.

Did Wes play last night? The depth now at ILB is a little concerning

Penn and Weeks seemed to be making most of the tackles. Kept wondering who we have to spell them during SEC games.

The ways he sheds blocks, flies around and always finds himself around the ball carrier is promising for the defense
I have believed all along that Weeks is a more valuable LBer than Perkins. That is because he is stronger...seems to have better instincts of being around the ball...and is a much better tackler. And for some here questioning his speed, I suggest they review the play in this game where he was beat covering a WRer and made up ground big time on that incomplete pass. Also, check out the S Carolina game where Rocket Sanders had the long TD run around Weeks end (who lost his contain as a LBer) but as he was chasing Sanders, he didn't lose any ground.
He reminds me of Tyler Grubbs the former La Tech, now Tulane LBer, as far his instincts and tackling ability but much faster than Grubbs. Whit Weeks IMO will be ultimately drafted higher than Perkins who can't find a position to play...he is a tweener.

He’s not Devin white fast but not dj welter slow..
Seems to make decisions extremely quick or has really quick gut read. Seems to have a quick first step and acceleration but maybe likes top line MPH or 40 numbers

Dumb F alert from scoreboard, but probably too dumb to figure it out otherwise... so bless your heart...
In what world are recruits waiting in traffic?...
More than you'd think, you dumbF. Some if lucky (top 1%, if that), may get an escorts to help recruiting, but most aren't, lol! Seriously, you have no idea either way. Yes, LSU gives police escorts to celebrities, but rarely if ever to recruits. Gonna assume you didn't understand context and my comment was lost on you. Of course, LSU doesn't give escorts to recruits b/c it's cost problhibitive. Already know you never played past high school. Give to NIL rather than thinking for yourself. Even the $5/month you can provide is appreciated!
