Long post alert: I tend to ramble when pissed.
No pics alert: don’t want to risk being outed.

Am I wrong for being upset about a wedding scheduled for the Bama game? Wedding of wife’s family member. I could skip the wedding but it would look really bad if I did.
Honestly at first I was nice about it and just requested a way to watch the game at the reception. Am I taking LSU football too serious? IMO, this may be the most anticipated regular season game in LSU football history. 2011 GOTC is the only other game that rivals it, IMO. The hype is on an unbelievable level.

We are all from Louisiana with both families living here. 95% of them are supposedly LSU fans. They think it’s appalling for even mentioning my concern.

I don’t want to ruin my wife’s family member’s wedding but I can’t help that I think this game can be as big as it gets in CFB and especially LSU. This game can get the football program set up long term as an immediate threat to the Bama dynasty.

I just needed to rant to someone since it causes too much drama at home. I’ll be with the rest of the fans in spirit though and I still plan to wear white at the wedding. But I did have to cancel my own one man mini support campaign #DicksOutForDevin. I’m ashamed I caved but kids will be there.

Other than the groom (supposedly LSU fan) leaving his fiancée at the alter (not ruled out for optimism),there isn’t much I can do about it now. Stupid bride will ruin my life if I miss this whole game. frick a wedding scheduled during LSU football season.

TL;DR

-Wedding scheduled for Bama weekend and may be most anticipated game in LSU history.
-Fancée and family are heavily offended because I’m thinking about this years game instead of all thoughts on wedding.
-Wife may ruin my life for a stupid wedding.
-Skipping wedding not best option.
-Balls and dignity are nonexistent in my life right now.
-#DicksOutForDevin not an option during wedding.

ETA: for clarity and a tad shorter

I’m currently at a wedding as well, I feel you.

Good news for me is it’s a 3pm wedding and the reception has a tv at the bar w the game on, I’m all set.

This doesn’t sound like a very healthy relationship.

Let me get this straight: The wedding scheduled tomorrow is your wedding?

If you’re such a big fan, how could you allow your wedding to be on this day??

I was a bit confused about that too but I’m 99% sure it’s someone else’s.

Actually I’m not so sure. If it’s his own wedding, this is absolutely pathetic if he doesn’t have enough say in his own wedding date to prevent this.

"A man had 50 yard line tickets for a LSU game.

As he sat down, he noticed that the seat next to him was empty.

He asked the man on the other side of the empty seat whether anyone was sitting there.

"No," the man replied, "The seat is empty."

"This is incredible," said the first man.

"Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the LSU game, the biggest sporting event in the state and not use it?"

The second man replied, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. I was supposed to come with my wife, but she passed away. This will be the first LSU game we haven't attended together since we got married in 1967."

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. That's terrible. But couldn't you find someone else -- a friend or relative, or even a neighbor to take the seat?"

The man shook his head. "No, they're all at the funeral.""

Just get blasted drunk at the reception and watch the game on your phone. Could be worse

You won't be the only one who doesn't show.

A wedding should be a happy joyous event. If they are going to be prison guards and not even have TV at the reception for the Bama vs LSU game - frick Em. Miserable Mother fukkers.

Why the frick would you marry anyone who wouldn’t schedule around the game? Not just not on a bye but on the flipping bammer game? That’s the test: if she’s doesn’t schedule wedding in bye week, you don’t marry her!

Why did you let her pick tomorrow as the wedding date? What is wrong with you?

My wife made sure to schedule our wedding on the bye week. You’re marrying the wrong girl my friend.
