Actually you can. 50%-70% chance it’s going to happen on any given day from late May/early June through Sept. Pattern well established which is why, prior to ESPN television games, we always had a morning game (10am) and an afternoon game (2pm or 3pm).

Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose.
Sometimes it rains.

I didn’t downvote you or comment on that post because I didn’t want to look like an idiot.

However, I did think you didn’t know what you were talking about based on forecasts at the time.

I have to say that I was wrong and you were spot on unfortunately!!!

would like to know why my Kentucky is going to lose their regional thread got anchored when Kentucky is, in fact, about to lose their regional.
I’ve noticed the mods have been moderating a lot more this year than in the past. A lot of it unnecessarily it seems too.

Sure hope the commies haven’t taken over this place too.

Generally the board will DV you to hell anytime you relay news they don’t want to hear.

The forecast (as early as 5PM) showed the worst of the cell floating right over Alex box at 8:30/9:00PM. Exactly what happened.

Put all that together & pretty much knew it was over when they hadn’t resumed by 7 — even if we’d somehow gotten an inning in, our game would’ve just gotten delayed as well.

There were quite a few threads with accurate info getting anchored and DV’d.

People either can’t read radar without the weatherman… or they can’t read radar without their feelings

Maybe they should factor that in when selecting regional hosts.

I don’t know if you factor that in for individual teams, but it definitely justifies spreading out the host sites so a single weather system doesn’t shut down the whole tournament. But we don’t usually get frontal passages like that in the South this time of year. Pretty sure it rains more in Miami and they’ve been hosting for fifty years.
