We would have won the series

If Blair Frederick didn’t transfer. End of story. He’s on our team for one year and, boom, we make the CWS finals. He transfers in the off season, and we end up losing our opening series to a Notre Dame team who we swept last year with him on the team. We need him to come back before it’s too late.

What, I thought he was a good pitcher

LSU always lets the best players leave.

It's by big pet peeve of PM
He gives up on players way too early and runs them off to manage the 35
You need more than 5'8 infielders with no pop

How exactly do you force people to be somewhere that they don’t want to be?

That to me is the most surprising thing. As I watch our lineup, there is no one who strikes fear in opponents heart. I don’t think any of our 1st five hooters Sunday break 6’0”

None of us recruited these guys or are at practice every day. Yes some people will come on later and be good players or pro prospects. I trust the coaches to evaluate who we have and who we have coming in the recruiting class and make decisions as best as they can. It’s not just about giving up on someone too early. If someone is struggling and isn’t progressing while at LSU then chances are the coaches have to move on because it’s hard to stay with in the boundaries of the roster limits. It would be nice to keep everyone who turns into a great player, but you don’t get to Monday morning quarterback when you’re the coach. If some of these guys played at LSU and struggled then there would be “fans” here saying they suck and callin PM a horrible coach for playing them.

After Beau hit a bomb they wouldn’t throw it near the plate his next at bat. Beau and Bryce have power, Coomes, Cabrera, webre, Smith, slaughter, and Watson all have plenty of power. You honestly think people aren’t afraid to throw fastballs over the plate to the Jordan’s? Duplantis will hit a few out and not sure what our starting catcher will do with a broken hand. We have plenty of people who can hit. It could’ve been a lot worse for the opening series. At least we scored some runs even though we were giving up a lot.

I think back to our last title team. Dean & Schimpf were our 2 best power hitters along with Jared Mitchell & mahtook. I think D.J. was the only one well over 6’0”

Is the time of year we start looking at football season and O to be the savior?

You have the right idea, but wrong player. It's the curse of Rankin Woley

Hilarious...
"Frederick was limited in his action this season throwing just 2.2 innings in five appearances. He walked five batters, struck out three and gave up three hits and three runs. He also started the season by accidentally hitting Greg Deichmann in the face during practice."
He is the reason.
The idiots on this board. However, I am so glad the melters can focus on baseball and get off football for awhile.
