In a league like the SEC you'd be insane to schedule 4 OOC games like Texas,Oklahoma,Notre Dame and Ohio State in the same year.But if you are going to play:

* Utah State
* Georgia Southern
* Steel Magnolias State
* Rice
* Louisiana Tech

you can certainly play Tulane. I miss that game. Of course no home and home,although an occasional game in the Superdome would work.

BTW,there is ZERO reason to not play them in basketball.

Are they going to agree to play all the games at LSU?

Other than them being an RPI anchor.

No thanks. I never looked forward to that game. Equivalent of playing Northwestern

LSU had a 10 year contract to play them and if I recall everyone complained the whole time so they terminated it short.

Tulane would destroy Northwester State. Northwestern State is actually a terrible FCS team. That being said Tulane has tried to take advantage of LSU fans for baseball games so I understand not wanting to play them. LSU would never play in their stadium but that would be a great away game. The demand would be incredible and tailgating in that area would be unique.

That doesn't really have anything to do with Tulane though. You said there was no reason not to play them. There is at least one reason not to play them.

If given the choice between two shitty basketball teams to play, choose the one who isn't Tulane. Because frick Tulane.

I brought my dad to the 2007 game in the Dome. It was his first LSU game. We had a great time. But it was certainly surprising that the Dome was so empty.

I wonder if a 2 for 1 would work if LSU was allotted half the tickets (or 1/3 LSU, 1/3 Tulane, 1/3 general public) for the Dome game. Essentially, 2 home games in Tiger Stadium and 1 neutral site game in the Dome.

If we play any team in La., it should be them. That said, all years played mainly in Tiger Stadium. A few in Superdome. None on Tulane campus.

I would give Tulane 3 games, 1 at Yulman, 1 in Superdome and 1 in Tiger Stadium.

Texas plays two for ones with rice. We can play two for ones with Tulane with that one being in the Superdome.

As a graduate of both Universities, I personally think it's good for the state when we they play each other. In any sport really. It gets people excited for Louisiana Athletics.

Eh maybe baseball and basketball some years. LSU doesn't get excited to play Tulane in football.

If LSU ever agrees to play a game at Yulman Stadium, the entire 6th floor of the Athletic building should be wiped clean.

I was at this game, and I can tell you a major issue why it was empty.

The game was at 11am. I was hungover and felt terrible. If you would put the game at 7pm, it would have been a much better turnout. Probably not a sellout, because I don’t remember Tulane being good that year, but more people would have been there/

Your proposal is essentially LSU agreeing to a 2 for 1 series to a group of five school where the 2 is away from your stadium. How does that work in your head?

Even if you agree to LSU getting the gate at the Superdome you are going to make less money than a home game. Superdome sits less people and it won’t be a sell out. I was there in 2007 it was majority LSU and the stadium was nowhere close to full.
