I agree. Besides a good goal in life is to never be a stupid and crass as a gump. They can win 100 NC's in a row, but the hero status given to Updyke says all you need to know.

No. We do not need to be like the Gumps. Besides, Les has not done anymore than Paul Detsal or Nick Saban at LSU, therefore no reason for statue.

Ridiculous!

For two SEC Titles and an NC?

No statue and no naming honors unless he retires at LSU with career wins and several more conference championships and at least one more NC.

Perhaps the Football Operations Building could be named for him if the aforementioned criteria are met.
