Saban took over a roster with 2 straight losing seasons.

LSU beat a good Tennessee team the next week, so they must have been fairly talented. How could Saban lose to UAB? That should never happen!

it's straight up contradicts the whole," he had to rebuild " stance.

only a dumbass would publicly state that their team will be a playoff team next year.
saban doesn't do that and he had been in every playoff.

wht do you not understand? bad losses under saban WERE THE OUTLIER. bad losses under O are the norm. the highlight of as orgeron's head coaching career is beating a 4 loss auburn team

LOL

Saban can afford that loss.. He was proven and he took over a bad team.. bad teams can have ups and downs and be coached up some weeks. Just like Will Wade and the basketball team, there will be ups and downs.

O took over an already established team that never loses at home to these types of teams once established. It goes to show just how much we are regressing.. and I don't see O bringing anything to table moving forward.

These idiots are going to constantly say things like “Coach X did the same thing O did” or whatever it takes to try to justify the epic stupidity that was making O the HC of LSU...but you will never see them predicting championships from O.

Hell I can’t even get them to predict 10-2 or better. They’ll say shite like “O is gonna surprise some people” or “he will turn it around” and non-specific shite. But then they turn around and say “8-4 would be a success with this year’s schedule.”

Which means deep down they don’t even believe the shite they’re typing. They’re just locked into pumping O even though they don’t really believe he’s a championship coach.

Oh NOW we're talking about "bad" losses, and not unprecedented, cataclysmic losses. Now you're making progress.

Nail on the head. They can’t go on record because then they will be held to that standard later. Always need to leave themselves room to move the goalposts and lower the standard, just like 0.

Neal Brown is a better coach than Orgeron. He had his team ready and well prepared. Orgeron isn't a championship coach. He's not even a decent head coach. These threads are fun and all but we will all see soon. Orgeron is a fricking joke.

oh wait......

you really don't understand the difference between the team Saban took over and the team O took over do you?

I thought I easily explained it to you earlier. I'll try to make it simpler.....

Nick Saban took over a program that won 3 games when he lost to man.

O took over program that HE,AS IN ED ORGERON,said was good enough to make the playoffs.

is this good enough for you?

You're not getting it. We had decent SEC talent. We went 5-2 in the SEC, yet the great Nick Saban lost to UAB. That's an unprecedented, cataclysmic loss - no? LSU should NEVER lost to a team like that (at least that's what I keep hearing).

WTF?

So you’re predicting Ed is winning the NC this year, right?

I just have to jump in here. It literally says in his post that the non-conference win streak dated back to saban’s loss to va tech in 2002

Can you not read? Or is bringing up Saban losing to UAB basically your entire argument for why Orgeron is supposed to be a good coach?

What? You seem to have a logic problem.
