So you don't think that coach O has done a good job up until now?

I don't disagree with him. He could be a better coach if he could just coach better.

Too bad those things to manifest out of thin air. But for many, him saying it is enough.

Maybe instead of beating your chest and acting crazy before the game, you put together a game plan that takes advantage of your opponents weaknesses, or that accentuates your team's strengths. But that's probably asking to much of a coach with a multi million dollar annual contract.

Quite honestly I think he's just saying it because some PR folks in the AD told him he should.

I think what he said Saturday more accurately reflects how he feels.

Without question.

I think Orgeron has done slightly better that I feared, but nothing great...no. And I've been saying this all along.

Again...I have NEVER predicted the wheels flying off of the program, so I won't be tagged with the idea that not going 7-5 is some accomplishment. I predicted a 9-3 campaign...and with a little luck he MIGHT surpass that. Might.

But my expectations for Orgeron are based ENTIRELY on why he was hired in the first place. And that's because our former coach could not get back up over the hump and we were consistently at around 9 or 10 wins a year and getting beaten by the one team that we need to compete with to win our division. if that's why we let Miles go...and it fricking is...than that can be the ONLY criteria for what makes a season a success under his successor. So...going 9-3 or even 10-2 is no better than where we were. The fact that I find that a ridiculous standard is irrelevant. I'm simply being consistent with the wishes of fans that wanted to make th change AND our AD who made it.

If 9-3 and 10-2 without sniffing the SECW Title was seen as mediocre under Miles, then is is under Orgeron as well. And if it isn't, why the frick not? Is he actually going to be credited for not sucking as badly as many feared...thus making him some sort of "success" because he wasn't as bad as some feared?

For the millionth time, my fear is not tanking. it's bleeding out slowly over many years as we lose any momentum we had as a program while people continue to make excuses for the local guy and his dream job who is actually worse at it than the guy he replaced.
