I'm sorry, but if someone was an LSU fan for at least 2 decades, it is hard for me to see that person becoming an alabama fan. LSU fans don't just become Alabama or Auburn or Texas fans.
It is also not believable that someone who paid to go to LSU games in the 1990s when we were CRAP somehow converts to Alabama.
Now, there are thousands of people who live in LOuisiana who never liked LSU and many hate LSU. Those people might cheer for Alabama. And that would be the same in any state.

LSU isn’t serious about winning championships. If your grandfather is tired of an administration who doesn’t care about their fans and wants to enjoy actual entertaining and good football I completely understand. Although if I were him I might just switch to an NFL team instead of Bama but I’m guessing there’s some bitterness over the unprecedented wasted talent he’s had to endure. I’m not an old man and I don’t think I would do what he’s doing but I won’t judge the man because I get it.

I flew into BTR yesterday to visit my family for Christmas. At baggage claim there was a little boy running around like crazy. I said, “Young man I hope you run the ball for our Tigers one day!”
His father looked at me and said, “Roll Tide”. I gave him the bad eye...just as another guy standing 20 feet away yelled, “Roll tide”!
I felt like puking. My deceased father would never believe this could happen.
It’s the world we live in today. Sad commentary on the lack of pride in anything. Winning right now is the only thing that seems to matter. Life is just not that easy.
I’m a loyal Tiger, no matter what. When I was born in the Baton Rouge General Hospital, I looked out the window and saw Tiger Stadium. I wouldn’t root for $abama if my life depended on it. I remember many great Louisiana players who gave their hearts and best efforts to build LSU into a respectable program. Devin White is the latest addition. I won’t let them down by pulling for $abama just because they break all the rules to win.
