Are you going to come back after the fifth of nov after we beat that arse?
There is a sure way to beat this Alabama team and I would guess most coaches know how they just don't have the players but we do. Even with a talent disparity the game plan is the same and he can still be exposed.

What does Nov 5th or Alabama have anything at all to do with anything that I have said about the tenure of Les Miles at LSU .... I never said anything about Nick Saban ... and I even said in another post that I like the fact that Miles is now tailoring his game plan around the players on the LSU team and also planning around the opponent as well ... again, i am just glad that things have worked out the way that they have so far and he has recently really shown the ability to learn from past mistakes ...
Alabama seems to be playing with a little bit more discipline than LSU right now, but I think that limits their abilities to make the big plays that LSU is able to make .. but, we have a couple of games that we have to play before then ... while of course we should be Tennessee ... i believe Derek Dooley will have the Vols ready to play ... but, they are no where near our talent level ...

He certainly saved a good one last year.

You know you don't hear much about going for it on your on 20 yard line in the first half and getting stuffed in an SEC championship game which we came back and won. Faking a punt in the 1st quarter of a national championship game that totally backfired except Texas qb gets hurt.Losing to ULM and UAB. Yeah I bet there are a lot more I haven't thought of. Saban has been pretty lucky to most of the time.(exception ULM UAB)

for the fourth, maybe 10th time .. i NEVER said that saban was a better coach than miles .... i was actually at the '03 SEC Championship game and thought that was a really stupid decision ...
i simply pointed out some critical errors that were made and then not corrected for a long time ... if someone is going to be mentioned as the best at anything ... they are going to be critiqued VERY VERY closely

I seem to recall Saban blowing a HUGE lead AT HOME to Auburn last year. With the lone exception of his first year Hurricane Rita game with Tennessee, that is not something a Les Miles coached team allows to happen.

wow, are you serious? Les Miles is notorious for sitting on a lead and not going for the throat .. just off the top of my head ... the UNC and WVU games last year, hell even the WVU game this year they didnt come out in the second half with the mindset to put the game away ... the Washington game a couple years ago was similar .. the Arkansas game in '08 in Little Rock when the Hogs scored like 17 unanswered points in the 4th quarter ... that's just a few

It's funny how Les is 3-2 against Saban....
Only 4 meetings as head coaches, and it's 2-2. If you're counting matchups as assistants, they've met way more than 5 times, but I think Miles has the edge. I never went back and calculated the meetings in capacities other than HC.
(And I am one of the biggest Miles supporters on here. LSU made Saban.)

I agree with saban being the best coach. If les van pull it out this year then you have an argument. I wouldnt want anyone else but miles though.
Now i dont agree with. How do you measure that? You think its easy to recruit at LSU and i tell you Bama easily beats that.
So you can go by rankings, which wouldnt be far enough a part to make a difference.

Saban is also a better recruiter.

damn, for such a terrible coach, it is a miracle Miles is 68-17.
He inherited an incredible program. A program that Saban built up from mediocrity or worse before building Alabama's program which was in a real lull.

What does that mean? Saban made LSU what it is today. You could argue LSU made Miles. But to argue LSU made Saban.....And then looking at what he did with Alabama....

i actually think that miles has done better with the players that he recruited .... now, certainly one could make the argument that Saban put LSU recruiting back on the right track

LSU made Saban. Pretty straightforward. If you want to say LSU made Miles, I'm fine with that, too.
Saban did not have to build LSU up from nothing. Gerry Dinardo, for all of his faults literally took over from Hallman where LSU was the Kentucky of the West, at least in football, and made us a 10-win team. Dinardo left lots of all-conference performers for Saban to build on.
Saban did a great job of leveraging what Dinardo did into a championship caliber program, as did Les.
BUT, Saban did not make LSU. LSU made Saban, period.

If he is better and has more talent how come he has lost 2 in a row to LSU? How come he lost to UAB,ULM and lost a 24 pt lead to Auburn last year? Your a Meauxron.
