How would we even qualify for NY6 when the sugar bowl picks the highest ranked SEC team

The SEC Champion will automatically go to the Sugar Bowl if it’s not selected for the College Football Playoff.

It’s pretty straightforward.

The Sugar Bowl bid is reserved for the SEC champ….UNLESS that SEC champ is going to the CFP. That’s why we rarely see the conference champ go the Sugar, because they usually end up in playoffs. So, in our case, with zero shot at the CFP, the Sugar is ours IF(big IF)we win.

Agreed. If UGA wins with ease, people will question the $100M man.

Homers have been questioning him already…

A much bigger issue will surface if jd continues on with his 8th grade style of flag football.

All we have to lose is a berth in the citrus bowl lol.

Don’t get me wrong I’m one of those guys who cares which bowl we get but past the NY 6 who cares?

Sugar with 3 losses, right?

Auburn played in it with 4 losses in 2016

LSU gets a NY6 bowl if they win though.

LSU fans won't celebrate. But the good vibes from that performance would lessen the A&M blow. Add a Citrus Bowl win against Purdue, a 10-4 season, and things will feel pretty good.

If we can hang in and lose by <=10, I will be one happy frickin Tiger Fan.

FWIW I was at every home game this season as a season ticket holder. But we also went to FSU, Florida, and A&M. I'm die-hard as they come but I'm pretty much a PosiTiger too.

Unfortunately, that’s not true. Sugar takes the highest ranked SEC team not in the playoffs, not necessarily the SEC Champ. That will be Bama or Tennessee.

wrong.

SEC champ still automatically gets Sugar if not in playoffs.

If the Georgia that played Kent State, Missouri, GA Tech and Kentucky shows up, LSU wins.

If the Georgia that played Oregon and Tennessee shows up, we are screwed.

Haven’t you heard? This team has exceeded predictions. They’ve already won.

As for your line of thinking on having more to lose and how it should help motivate them….Think about how much they had to lose last Saturday against a 4 win team.
