6 five star recruits in the last 5 years and 3 tournament wins

5 star players aren’t in college for more than a few months now. It’s not the same deal as football. Mid major teams are tearing up the tourney with 4 year players

Wade hasn’t been here for 5 years yet, there was no tourney in 2020 and this years tourney isn’t here yet. You guys using years that haven’t happened or years with no tourney against the tourney win count are being dishonest. We’ve never lost a first round game and we’ve been to the sweet 16 already. In the 3 possible tourneys since Wade we’ve made 2 and have won 3 games, that’s the reality, not this twisted bs you guys keep posting.

Do you agree that wade needs to hit on a true point guard?

Beneford, Johnson, Brady, Jones all coached LSU to at least the second round. Wade hasn’t done anything miraculous.

I think this is one of his biggest problems. He always wants to turn 2s into 1s and it’s been costing us every year since Waters left. Forcing Smart to move to the point when we already had Mays who was a point guard cost us non conference games we easily should’ve won. This year we dump Cook to make room for Pinson. I like Pinson, I think he’s a good player but he’s nowhere near the point guard Cook is. For all the good Pinson does he’s always late on his reads off the pick and roll and he doesn’t see the floor like a point guard.

It doesn’t matter how good the point guard is when the only two plays are ISO’s and pick and rolls from the top of the key. Chris Paul, Tony Parker and Rajan Rondo, Bob Cousy … it doesn’t matter

It makes a huge difference and the numbers show that or haven’t you watched Wade’s teams before January?

I agree although i think smart was fine at point cause he could shoot. Thst team last year just needed a big man.

I don't like how will wade constructs his rosters. I'd like him to focus on overall basketball players more. Not just athleticism.

Smart improved a lot but it took time and cost us time and games. Remember the first month and a half his soph season when he first made the switch, he was having 6 and 7 turnover games and we dropped some wins we shouldn’t have. We had Mays right there who’d played point guard his entire HS career and his freshman year at LSU plus Smart had showed flashes of greatness as a 2 guard during his freshman season. It just didn’t make sense. As far as a big man that’s the other thing I don’t like about his style but it’s a philosophy issue so I’ve just accepted it. We have had guys who can score on the block but Wade just isn’t going to feature the post up in his offense. Hell we have Days right now who’s incredibly efficient inside 15 feet but he’s only gonna get a couple touches there per game.

I haven't followed basketball as closely as some others on here but one and done players in college basketball is common. That is how teams like Duke, Kentucky, UNC and others do it.

But somehow for you it's a negative on Will Wade when he has one and done players.

BTW which freshman on this years team is one and done? No Eason doesn't count he is a Sophomore.

Plus Adam Miller comes back.

This year's team is a victim of its early success. They were never as good as their record and got people's expectations way too high. You can't go very far without a few guys that can shoot.

Well iv been pretty good about giving you some facts not my fault you can't read

All you want to do is compare wade to past lsu coaches and that is totally irrelevant. It’s a tactic used by the wade fanboys who have really no other leg to stand on. “Hey, he’s better than what you had. How can you complain?” I can complain because I personally want better results than I got with all the other coaches and also with Wade! I want to be in the mix every year. Perennial ranking in the top 10.
Several Sec championships. A trip to the 8 at least every few year. And a championship- just one championship. Wade has had 5 years now and isn’t meeting these expectations.

And No one is asking for us to go back to the old coaches! So stop comparing him to our old coaches!

Fans want to move forward and upward.
Do you really believe that wade can win us a championship? He’s had time
