Because Les is dumb enough to play into their strengths over and over again.
"Hey this is one of the best dlines in the last decade so let's run right at em. What could go wrong?"
It was obviously lazy preparation... and I'm sure it went something like this:
"We almost beat them last year... now they don't have Amari Cooper and we have a better OL and Fournette. Let's stick to what we've been doing."

Jo jo, you are absolutely correct!

Harris simply cannot throw these passes. Try, try again, he just can't.
Coaches see it and stop calling it.

What he can do better is recruit. We routinely have incredible players that are under utilized.

Well that's as close as I can get to a compliment.

We got beat by a better team, coached by a better coach with a better game plan.
Les did nothing different than usual. I honestly think he still has no idea what happened in the 21-0 game. The alternative is to think he does know and he just too damn stubborn to do anything about it

Because we fought them with one hand tied behind our backs.

For those saying talent is equal and it was all coaching. Take a look at the recruiting ranking composite of each SEC team. Talent isn't equal, maybe in some areas but overall and depth it isn't as close as you think.

Two weeks leading up to this game and the consensus was LSU was the better team and this was Bama's down year. Now all I see is they were the better team.
They were not the better team.
They were the better coached team.

that has got to be miserable
No, it's actually the opposite. It's pretty good not getting hopes high for this team every year, no matter how we start the year. They all end the same and that's usually a loss in a crappy bowl to a team we should dominate.
Miserable is thinking Les will bring LSU back to another title.
