If we lose you can obviously kiss that Kentucky win goodbye in the eyes of the media. That little bastard J Williams and that old bastard Jay B will pull the whole “told ya so” narrative.

We get a lot of respect for a program that has sucked and couldn’t make the tourney with Ben Simmons. Most of the media guys say we are a top 10 team. For weeks I’ve heard plenty of media guys saying this is a sweet 16 team.

Exactly, they are coming off probably their best game of the year and they are in exactly the position we were going into Kentucky to play prior to them playing Tennessee.
The good thing is I think Florida's win over Bama will get our teams attention if not our fans, which is what really matters.

frick them and their opinions. Just win games, improve the NET ranking, and impress the selection committee. That's all that matters right now. ESPN analysts and the AP poll are worthless.

This. Never thought I’d say this , and never will again. But we could learn from Texas a&m fans. They were gifted a game vs us in football and now act like it’s a 20 game winning streak. We win at Rupp and totally outplay the kats and are insecure about it.

You have the NCAA Football Playoff mentality. It makes no difference what they think because there is an actual tournament to decide things. Trying relaxing a little bit and enjoy the ride. Too much wasted energy.

I hate to break it to you but if LSU loses to Tennessee they will probably not say anything at all about LSU until the tournament. LSU is an afterthought in basketball right now. A nice story but they eventuallly will fall. I don’t think it’s right but it’s what it is. If LSU players had Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, or UCLA on their jersey they would be ranked in the top 5. Keep winning and that will change.

For as much as people on here shite on sports media members, y’all sure seem to hang on their every word.
I guess it’s possible that media narratives may subconsciously influence the selection committee. Other than that, who fricking cares?
