He reminds me of Lynch as well , but he doesn’t have the top end speed lynch had early on in his career. Lynch wasn’t even considered a power back until later on in his career.

That being said I feel Curry is going to be an extremely hard worker and will be a great contributor to the LSU program. He’s a lot like Ware/Ridlely. Hard nosed kid that will score a lot of touchdowns and pick up a lot of 3rd down conversions. He could easily grind out a couple 1,000 yard seasons here.

I still feel Helaire is our most talented back on the roster.

If we have a running game we will be scary this season. Pettigrew has the potential to be all sec with a good qb.
I like me some Pettigrew. He was my "surprise performer" vote for last year (which didn't happen, obviously). I'm going to double down this year and choose him again. Even though I want CEH to shock many on this board who seem to assume he's just a scat back.

If you look at the way he breaks tackles, he doesnt project well. He is playing against HS not SEC......

He had offers from Florida, Michigan, USC, Tennessee, Wisconsin. He reminds me of a Marshawn Lynch type of back which we need on the roster. My guess is we are going to be RB by committee this year.

That’s pretty high

Holy shite I agree with Lester!

People forget Sony Michel was a higher rated back out of high school than Derrious Guice. Granted, they were 2 and 5 respectively and those evaluations fail to account for how well the kid adapts to the faster game. Some actually play better when they don't have time to think.

Any kid rated that high has the potential to be one of if not the best in the class. He also could become a rotational backup. This is LSU though so if I had to bed I'd bet he'll develop into a real backfield stud.

It's hard to show off when you're on the bench. Nick just has had no PT in 3 years.

I am rooting for Nick. He has stayed through the years of Fournette and Guice, put in his time. What I do like about his game is his ability to catch out of the backfield. I really hope we do much more of this in the Ensminger offense. Also, he showed good patience allowing his blockers to move defenders downfield. I think Curry shows some Marshawn Lynch in himself. Also, runs with the aggressiveness of Guice, but has a bigger frame to punish people with. I just hope he gets better blocking at the college level. Many of those highlights were of him shedding blockers at or behind the line of scrimmage. That won't be nearly as easy in the SEC. Talented backs that I hope compliment each other and translate into a quality running game this year.
