and USC's CONFERENCE schedule is as poor... you really cant argue that much coming off a year where USC played a total of 0 top 15 teams.

That has about as much to do with this thread as LSU losing to Tulane 3 out of 4 years, once at home when Tulane was 3-7 and LSU was heading to the Orange bowl

Matches your argument about OOC quality.

SEC sched + LSU OOC >>>>> Pac10 sched + USC OOC

Sorry chief....

ok, the OOC is poor but so what. The SEC is tough enough.

We have played Arizona Sate, Arizona, VT in recent years with a home and home for Washington scheduled

Not including cancellations by
OU, Colorado, Notre Dame and the fiasco

But when somone says or implies it is not poor, or even good, they need to be called out and shown how goofy the statement is. That is all my point is.

I don't think anyone has gone that far. But you know that many either say that LSUs OOC schedule through the years is not bad at all or uses excuses (other than the tough SEC schedule excuse).

You are missng the point. My point is that one season of an above average OOC schedule does not mean LSU consistently plays tough OOC opponents. Nor does one season of really bad OOC opponents mean their OOC is consistently poor. But through the years and as a whole, it is poor, indeed. ANd that is not based on one season.

To all you USC fans on here, thank you so much for all the compliments you give us just by being here and trying to argue that USC has a better FB program than LSU. You are trying to justify your great program, but not the BEST program. I love it! In the final analysis, you guys are just jealous because the score in crystal is 2:1. Have a blessed day!

Reminds me of: "My dog is bigger than yours."
"Well, he can bark louder yours." Well, he can bite harder than yours." Well, he can leave a bigger pile on the sidewalk than yours." All the arguments boil down to one thing:
LSU: 2 crystal footballs >>>> USC: 1 crystal football. LSU: the only school who has 2 crystal footballs.

That's a different argument altogether when you frame it like that (over a span of many years). But you forget too that the quality of a football typically varies dramatically over such a span. Look at LSU. Look at USC. If you go back over 10-15 years there's quite a variation.....which also translates to the OOC teams too.

I don't know that's as much of a point as it is a statement.

A larger point expounding on that statement would be that since we have rugged conference opponents, there is no need for scheduling several top rated OOC opponents every year. Other teams lack rugged conference opponents, thus the need for scheduling tougher OOC opponents than we do.

Willy Tuitama tried to say the same thing, but he's still slurring his words from his night in BR so nobody could understand what the hell he was saying.
