Who's job is it to make sure we keep one on the team? That is a completely tired excuse

Now I know you hardly watched the game. Please find an instance where NT pressed their coverage? They repeatedly gave up the underneath route in an effort to stop the big play, yet you all wanted us to force it anyway!?

Where did I say anything about press coverage? 8 in the box does not equal press coverage. You said NT played prevent all night. 8 men in the box is not synonymous with prevent defense.

wait, I thought that was Jimbo's offense with a Crowton wrinkle two thrown in...or that Crowton wasn't allowed to run his offense because of Miles' interference...I'm really confused now

If you don't realize that Crowton had more control over the offense in '07 than ever,I don't know what to tell you

North Texas looked better than Michigan. Their organization, scheme, and tempo. With all the guys for Mich hurt or out they gave us a way better look that Mich did bama.

so the good years are the ones where Miles leaves the OC alone, and the bad ones are when he tinkers too much?

I said it was basically a prevent style. Giving up underneath routes. They obviously were not in a full scale prevent.

I know you didn't say they pressed their coverage, but I'm using that to show what is usually required in order to start airing it out. For the most part, they ran a lot of cover 3 zone defense that takes away a vertical passing game, yet our fans wanted us to force it anyway. That's my problem with all of the bitching. No context whatsoever.

Mett will probably be held back because of the pick, and he shouldn't be.

How wrong can you be. The only reason Mett was held back last night IF you even think he was is because North Texas was about 3 foot pounds away from killing him!!!

Jane you filthy slut, if you want to know what to take away from the game last night I will tell you since most here obviously don't.

LB's we are solid! Shouldn't have a negative affect on the team as the year progresses.

WR. Unknown... gone. JL, Wright and Boone fill out the spot to go along with OBJ.

weak spot identified. Pass protection, maybe some read recognition, finding the open guy.

weak spot identified. Effective blitzing.

All this other bullshite being discussed is a load of crap which shows you can not be objective at best or are a bunch of dumb asses at worst.

It's Miles job to recruit serviceable QBs, we all know that and it is a fair jab at him. But pick your poison - do you want Miles to compound a subpar QB by forcing a deep passing game the last 4 years??? If you agree the QBs were poor, then how can you fuss that he should have called more plays for the obvious weakness on this team???

Miles will completely run the offense this year,as he did last, which will work just fine until we run into someone with equivalent talaent

Not everyone is calling for downfield passing every play, we just want to see more than 15 wr screens, a handful of slants, etc. We won't die if we use crossing routes or involve the TE some more. Some of us just want some variety. That's it, I've said my peace and spent way too much time already today caught up in this.

Michigan has denard robinson, decent RB that's it.

We have really good D, good QB, good offensive line , stud running backs, good receivers.

They'll have alot to defend against.

why will he run it this year? why didn't he run it in '07? please list the years that Miles has been here, offensive production, whether or not Miles was running the offense, and why? I'm trying to figure all this out as I don't have the inside info that some of you have...Thanks!!
