We need to evaluate our nutrition program relative to cramps. I'm not buying the heat or turf or scoring too fast. It was a tight race on who could score fastest. LSU won that one. To have players leaving the field during the game to get IV's needs to be evaluated. As usual, we aren't and won't be as physical against top tier teams as we saw last night. Thank God that we have this lethal offense executed by the best qb ever at LSU to bail the D out. Moffitt is a serious liability and needs to get run at some point.

Chill out dude. The sky isn’t falling. You have totally lost context of the game.

Well they must’ve really committed to the gimmick by sending our best players to the locker room for an entire quarter.

19 play drive to open the second half was the tipping point. Also heard nobody took IV's at half...

It was... it was brutal all day and I even was suffering from cramps during the 3rd quarter. I should be used to this living in Houston and being out in the sun most days. With that turf, it drove up the temperature at least 20 degrees.

Yeah, it definitely wasn’t 100+ degrees last night, and the second game of the season, with guys giving it everything they had.

You’re getting downvoted, but I agree. Was clearly a much larger problem for LSU, why?

Also, can we get the medical tent on the sideline the way the NFL does. Critical time wasted walking to the locker room.

TX showed no signs of this. If I recall, they were playing on the same field.

How many players from Texas were seen walking to the locker room to get an IV for cramps?

man, our D was gassed. tejas held the ball more for over 8 minutes more; all in the second half. and this was in upper 90's heat.

Defense did it to themselves not stopping Texas on 3rd down...how many 3rd and 5+ did they convert last night.

Dry heat and Humid heat are different too...35% humidity last night...there losing a shite ton more sweat than they are used to.

That's the thing...makes me wonder of the posters shouting about this, how many have ever redlined for an extended period of time at an athletic endeavor, especially on a day like yesterday. It happens, and my take away is that these guys were pushing to the max all night. I seriously doubt its a hydration issue, and I seriously doubt its a conditioning issue. I think its an issue of maxing out in these conditions, there are limits to performance.

once again, LSU's D was on the field 8 minutes longer in the second half alone. also, their D was gassed too! no cramps that we saw but they really struggled in the fourth quarter and they were playing at home.

So why were Texas players not succumbing to the heat. I’m guessing half of them were fake.
