exactly my point...OK State was 6-7 last year...not a good team...just like us.

No, I thought your point was that Tech would be favored against LSU this season (which simply isn't true). I also thought your second point was that Tech is the best team in the state without backing it up. I agree LSU isn't a good team, but that isn't what you are arguing here. Again, break down all the wins and losses of each team and tell my why Tech has the better team?

I was responding to you how you said Troy was a good team by beating a 6-7 team last year.

First of all, I'm pretty sure I never said Troy was a good team. Second of all, they did give UGA all they wanted between the hedges and put 31 on Florida last season. Not to mention they finished 8-4 and 6-1 in Conference play. But hey, I'm still waiting on you to break it all down and tell me why La Tech's the best team in the state this year based on who they have beaten and lost to this season. Also, you obviously don't know much about Vegas if you truly believe Tech would be favored against LSU.

Dude I wasnt exactly talking about Vegas...I was giving my opinion from what I have seen this year from LSU...I wouldn't be surprised whatsoever if tech came into Death Valley & beat LSU.

Hell, LA Tech and LSU finished with the same exact record of 7-5 and their schedules aren't even comparable.

Yeah that hurts my case a bit but I still feel theres not much difference between them & us & it would be a close game which either team could win...not a cupcake walkover like a lot of you think it would be.

IF La Tech and LSU met tomorrow at Cajun Field, who would you put your money on?

As you know, you are better off basing any arguement on the actual facts. Here are my facts of why LSU is better than La Tech.

LSU and La Tech both finished at 7-5 despite LSU playing a much tougher slate.

LSU's win at South Carolina is arguably more impressive than any of La Tech's wins this season.

La Tech's loss to Army is worse than any loss LSU has suffered this season (that would still be the case even IF Troy had beaten LSU).

You see, it only took me a couple of minutes to back my arguement.

We would beat tech, but it would be another miserable troy-like game. I gues we'll find out next year who te best in the state is. We play both tulane and LA Tech.

Opinions vary and your opinion is 100% incorrect.

only a Techster fan would say something that stupid!

this is the dumbest thread ive seen on the rant in a long time, and thats really saying something.

Sounds like a delusional tech fan pretending to be an LSU fan. At least I hope it is, or you are up for the biggest ranter of the year award.

ok, i'll play...i am a 42 y/o tech grad and fan, but i only became a tech fan when i went to college there. as a boy, all i knew was cholly mac, charles alexander, and john ferguson. i don't hate lsu now, just relatively ambivalent. i would guess if tech and lsu played on a neutral field next week, lsu would be about an 8-10 point favorite. both teams have the same record and lsu has played the stronger schedule, but in that strong schedule they haven't beaten anyone good. who is the best team lsu beat? auburn? south carolina? average at best, but better than anyone tech has beaten. our best wins are probably vs. mississippi state (our only common opponent and very similar results),and vs fresno state. we did lose to army 14-7...no excuse, but it was several weeks in a driving cold sideways rain. and our nevada loss yesterday was the mirror image of lsu loss vs arkansas the day before, letting a big lead slip away. and nevada is a quality team. not great, but a good team with a matt jones type qb, minus the cocaine.
give lsu vs tech a neutral field game right now and i would guess lsu wins 7 times. the problem for lsu is it would seem tech is ascending while lsu is descending. clearly, things can change dramatically from season to season, so who knows what will happen next year when they play. i am looking forward to it though.
tech is probably in the I Bowl, to be announced monday afternoon.

I have been trying for a few days to think of a bowl team we could beat, buy I can't think of one. If we can't beat the worst team in the SEC, who can we beat?
