Holstein is better anyway. Hope we don’t waste our time with Arch. If he wants to come that’s great and you take him but Holstein is the better QB and should be the priority over Arch.

I’d bet straight up that in 5 years the guy playing QB for LSU is someone you have never heard of.
BOOYA! I am thinking the same thing. I admire the posters optimism but I woukd totally understand Manning and Holstein's reasons to go elsewhere. With TJ leaving and Brennan in his senior year we will still be set for 2022 with Johnson, Nuss and Walker. Should either Manning or Holstein commit that would be amazing and give us a solid 5 years.
Look for a big time QB in 2024 instead of getting commitments from either Manning or Holstein.

Transfer portal, if it stays in place with the same rules we have now, will claim one or two of those QB's.

No way any Manning plays at LSU.

Idk why some of you simply refuse to acknowledge the fact that MANNING isn't coming to fricking LSU. Lol, it would be a cold day in hell before he comes here and he's going to do everything he possibly can to screw with us and get our hopes up along the way. He isn't coming to lsu.

Archie Manning does not like LSU so I think it's highly doubtful we sign his grandson.
Isn't the grandson a fan of LSU? And isn't going to a school to "make your own name" something the Mannings have done to a degree?

Yeah, Peyton went to Tennessee when ole miss was in shambles and either still on probation or coming off probation from billy brewer and their team sucked arse and there was no chance they would compete for anything of relevance with or without him going there. There's a huge difference in someone from an ole miss family, where all of the males but that one went to ole miss and played football, going to Tennessee and going to lsu. They despise LSU with all of their being. He isn't coming to lsu. I will take all ban bets, money bets, whatever. I know I'm right and where manning isn't going to play football. It's not at lsu.

Say whatever you want about O but he fixed the frick out of our biggest problem. Modernized the offense snd he’s landing studs at QB

Manning never. He will expect along with grandpa to start immediately no matter who is playing imo.

If Brennan is the starter:
Brennan 12
Johnson 24
Nussmeir 24
Howard 12
Manning 0
Holstein 0
If Brennan isn’t the starter, then he’ll enter the transfer portal and be picked up by a top 10 team.
Without Brennan:
Johnson 24
Nussmeir 24
Howard 24
Manning 0
Holstein 0
Brennan 12
Johnson 24
Nussmeir 24
Howard 12
Manning 0
Holstein 0

I'll be surprised if we get Manning or Holstein.

The chances of LSU signing Arch are so much below zero that the best part about explaining this is the old school easiness behind it. There’s no money, no bag guys, no shenanigans, no nothing. The local appeal and super awesome locker rooms and “relationships” and signing his high schools teammates are about as impactful as the amount of bird shite that is on the roof of the Newman basketball gymnasium. Archie Manning was a highly competitive college QB for Ole Miss during a period where both programs were very nationally respected and Ole Miss HATED LSU (the same way they do today but LSU just laughs at them as the “special” cousin we have to play with). He was surrounded by people during his formative years that HATED LSU. Eli Manning had pretty much the exact same experience. Sure Peyton didn’t have the same on-the-field sort of experience but if you’re a true blue tenured LSU fan that understands who Archie and Eli are to to Ole Miss, and truly understand the very very negative sentiments that Ole Miss holds towards LSU, you should have never once have gotten your hopes up about Arch or any athlete associated with that family ever remotely entertaining the idea of playing for LSU. I don’t care that he is a teenager from football royalty living in New Orleans,LA that somehow FINDS himself wearing LSU gear on camera. Y’all need to just enjoy Walker Howard kicking Arch’s arse every time he plays him (if he does go SEC) and not get your hopes up which are ridiculous and most importantly not even needed or warranted.

The era of having a definite starter level backup on the bench is over.

That’s not how QB works. The last QB who signed with LSU out of high school and ended his college career at LSU was Lee/Jefferson
