To the Sports Staff of WBRZ.....Congratulations

You and your video have made national news, and you are getting the much needed exposure you crave. I saw you made Deadspin today.

Unfortunatly, you interpretation and reporting has now challenged the integrity of a good man. Is Les Miles a flawed Football coach? YES INDEED. Does he deserve to be called a LIAR? No.

Miles is gesturing what looks like a spiking motion, but he is doing it seconds after Tolliver makes the catch. It could be argued that he is saying Tolliver is down, considering that Ole Miss players are grabbing the ball. Jordan Jefferson is still 30 yards from the ball!!!

Miles and his staff had about 5-10 real time minutes to screw that game up and lose it, which they did. Your staff had about 4-5 hours to analyze that video, and you screwed that up.

Shoddy, shoddy reporting of the "facts". You now join your cross town rivals at Channel 9 with the whole "LSU to the Rose Bowl" story.

why would miles be signaling that he was down when the refs were moving to spot the ball

and why is miles saying "clock it"

?

quote:

Jordan Jefferson is still 30 yards from the ball!!!

miles is signaling to the entire team that is around JJ to line up to "clock it"

The facts hurt......sorry you feel this way, but I give them a thumbs up for reporting the TRUTH and not being scared of the almighty LSU.

For the person wanting link, go to youtube and type in Miles and Ole Miss. It should pull up.

Way to go Cauble and Channel 2 Sports. Great coverage and this needed to be done.

In Miles's defense I'd point out that no team has a one second play.

Just read his lips. He is clearly saying Clock it. Stop playing devils advocate for Miles. Not to mention the "good man" threw JL under the bus last year and JJ after this game.

any play could have been called as our 2nd play

miles and crowton didn't call a 2nd play during the timeout

Poor excuse. He should have given the O a play when they were in the timeout. That is what a good coach does. Once you snap the ball, which they timely did, it's not a 1 second play. Now it's a normal play for the game.

In 01 a team kick a GW FG in exactly our circumstances. As soon as the ref blew the whistle the snapper grabbed the ball and snapped it.

Absolutely correct!! Even though it goes without saying that the coaching staff and the quarteback blew the last 30 seconds but it also was quite obvious that when Toliver caught the ball the Ole Miss players did not allow him to get up as soon as was down.

although calling him a "liar" is a bit strong .. you can't expect the local media to shake the purple and gold pom poms after saturday night ... that kills ALL credibility ... i understand channel 9 and its pussy sports director steered completely clear of the story ..

He was saying CLOCK IT.
He was motioning to down the ball.
He is wearing a headset that is screaming into the ear of his quarterback.
He threw "someone" under the bus at the press conference.

HE IS A LIAR, and a terrible clock and talent manager.

so how do you defend miles for his stupid onside kick in the first half after you just went up 17-9 that gave ole miss a gift wrapped touchdown ..

how do you defend miles for butchering the play clock in the second half and pissing away what proved to be valuable time outs ..

how do you defend miles for not having the balls to override his ecclectic OC and run the ball three plays and kick a FG ...

how do you defend miles for letting 16 precious seconds tick off the clock before calling a timeout ...

how do you defend miles for not having the FG unit ready to immediately run on the field ..

how do you defend miles for having the math skills of a first grader thinking you can clock the football with one second left ..

Slo, I really respect your opinion on here. There is no way you can tell me you 100% see Miles saying "Clock It". Would he not also be telling his team to "Kick it" also in the video.

Jefferson even says the "Signal Caller" told him to clock it. You know, the grad assistant with the headphones talking to the booth.

My whole point here is Cauble and his staff ran with this slant without 100% proof. You, as a lawyer, know this cannot be proven by this video. It's now turned into an integrity thing with the man.

he did lie! what else did you see from that to make you say he didn't? he pointed out a 19 year old kid for spiking the ball and said he didn't know who called the "clock it" call, when he was there clearly motioning to JJ to "clock it"!! what more facts do you want?? it is what it is! we can't go on hiding from it! it's terrible and he needs to face the facts and deal with it like he should! don't blame WBRZ for miles lying and blowing that game!
