Pleas forgive me as I did not follow LSU basketball extensively last year.

How good was Wayne Sims? Such a terrible thing that happened.

Didn’t play much last year but would have contributed more this year.

Think he was 2-time Louisiana Gatorade POY in high school

He was a decent role player last year, this year his role would’ve been bigger and his leadership would be invaluable especially at the start of the season with a really young team.

He was ok. Didn’t really contribute all that much but was said to be greatly improving over the offseason. Wade was constantly talking about how much better he was getting

Wade said he couldn't wait for people to see Sims this year and how good he had become in the off season days before his murder. So sad.

Came on really strong towards the end of last season. Was expected to be a big piece of this years team. Good man.

I think they should honor him for the Tennessee game by putting his number 44 on the court at both ends. We need to pull out all stops for that game have the tiger drop from the ceiling with jersey 44 on?? pmac would be rocking

Wayde was a guy who wasn't great at any one thing but could do a little of everything. He could play inside or outside, shoot the 3 decently enough, and was a scrappy rebounder/defender.

A lot of good programs have guys like him coming off the bench. He would have given us big minutes this year.

Everyone, please keep Wayne and Fay in your thoughts and prayers.

I'm sure they're proud that Wayde is being honored but sad that he isn't here to see it.

I talked to someone who works with Wayne and he said he is still having a difficult time. I'll bet his mother is too.

The whole thing sucks, I feel for his folks. Every time I think about it I get so pissed, I can’t imagine how they’re feeling and will continue to feel. Some people get robbed of money or items and it sucks, I would be a damn mess if I was robbed of one of my kids.

Thoughts and prayers continue.

Btw, what is the latest with the punk who is responsible? He must receive just punishment, whatever that might be.
