Watching the Coaches Film Room
First off it's great seeing all the different coaches diagnose plays, describe coverages and formations

What struck me is how they really insert their own philosophy into breaking things down.

For example, Gary Patterson is basically a scared bitch because everytime LSU did something aggressive he would talk about how its not the "right" thing to do. Really shows the difference between 15-0 GOAT team and just being a solid coach

I don’t think he’s in the position to tell anyone the “right” way coach football

Did any of them mention zero coverage?

Gundy called it when he saw the formation.

May not be fair for me to comment since I haven't seen it, but Patterson is a great coach.

What he may be missing is that our MO was to be aggressive. That's part of why it was so successful. (And with Joe it was never reckless.) But that's unconventional and leaves lots of coaches uncomfortable.

I mean he is a fundamentally good coach but it seems obvious he has some refusal to adapt to modern football

He criticized the LSU offense all night for not running the ball and being too aggressive. Like WTF LSU put up 42 points and 630 yards on the BEST D.

When I was watching the replay earlier I enjoyed gundy more than the rest of them in general. He actually seemed quite into it where the other coaches kinda seemed like they were pretty much mailing it in most of the time.

I enjoyed Gundy breaking down offense and Hafley breaking down defense. Patterson was interesting just to hear the complete opposite of LSU

The TM6 touchdown was a clear mismatch at the LOS. I was yelling at the screen before the play call and Joe saw it from the go.
