Went from an impeccable game to really what the only bad stretch (relatively speaking) he had all year mid - 3Q to early 4Q. Probably the only time he pressed the whole season, which is remarkable. I remember the uneasiness I had watching it in real-time, not really thinking they would lose, but having the feeling of how bad it would be if the season crashed and burned in Oxford creep in just a bit.

I think everyone lost focus at half in that game. All the critics pointed at that game and talked about how poorly we played defensively but really it was only the 3rd quarter.

Yes. I’m watching. Really a poor defensive performance in the second half all around. Delpit struggling. Holes all over the field

We played an intense, emotional, and physical the game of the year just seven days before on the road in Tuscaloosa. Ole Miss came in with nothing to lose.

We still throttled them, but got gashed for big plays.

In hindsight, it dropped our ranking and lit a fuse under this team to never let your guard down.

So true! That might have been the best thing for the team.

Yep, showed a graphic pointing out that he started 23/25 for 321 and 3TD, then went 8 of his next 16 for 107, 2 picks and a TD...Next pass was a 61 yd TD to Chase on a slant route haha. Joe says Rebs

That's right. It was really this stretch of one game that allowed the national media to falsely claim that while LSU looked great and had a much harder schedule, OSU was a more "complete" team and deserved the no. 1 seeding.

In the end it would not have mattered. We simply would have beaten Clemson first then handled OSU in the championship.

Trap game coming off Bammer win. D was clearly spent.

I think Plumlee is a good player though. I feel like he surprised the defense a little bit with just how good a runner he is.

JRP is a good athlete.

Will be interesting to see how he does in TS against a Pelini D vs. Aranda D.

Had to worry about the Aranda nightmare for most of the season. Played a lot better after the Ole Piss debacle. Thank goodness he's moved on to Baylor.

That had to be the worst game of the season, team wise. Everyone looked as if they had been drugged, waiting for someone else to make the play.

The DC appeared to be in a daze as well.

We were scoring however and whenever we wanted, but it was still a game because the defense was just God-awful that night.

I think he was just starting to get pissed off

Not to mention, OM had a ton of dirty late hits in 2018's blowout.

Yes. I’ve been watching the reruns of games, and Ole Miss was easily LSUs worst game. Malaise after beating Bama. Everyone looked off including the coaches

That game was never close. The announcers made it sound like it was a one score game. Yes our defense had some problems but those were remedied in the subsequent games. We still beat the crap out of them.

And if you really watch our mistakes it seemed just like eye discipline and basic mental errors. It was dumb to panic, the week before Alabama’s only score 2.5 Qs in was on a quick snap which had nothing to do with our defense
