Your argument was that every program has a strength program. I just pointed out that Wade’s strength program at LSU is much better than the strength program for the basketball team before him at the same LSU. So yes, the specific program matters much more than you are downplaying it

No, that was not my argument. Try again and come back to me...

It’s a damn given that you need really good skilled players. It is not a given the importance of lifting heavy all during the season.

Again, go look at what so many of the strength coaches around the country are saying right now.

You keep saying this, but yet you've only provided quotes from one school.

You are the one attempting to prove a point, therefore why don't you go look up more quotes from trainers across the country and post them here for us.

Not going through all of the coaches but I will give you these 2 quotes...haha

Mike Golic Jr

“Gonzaga: we have a high scoring offense

Baylor: we lift with the football team”

Charles Barkley

“Baylor has a weight room and every player knows where it’s at!!”

So you think it’s a good idea to lift >90% at least once week during the season? No strength coach is making their team do that. I can tell you that for a fact

Baylor had a team of skilled, freaks that were in the program for a long time

Yes their strength coach deserves credit along with their other coaches, but it’s not as simple as you think it is, and if it was then every team would be filled with jacked players

Who said they do that once a week?

Does anyone know how heavy the LSU basketball and baseball players lift during the season?

We recruit players who expect to enroll in college for three months.

Baylor started three juniors and two seniors.

No amount of lifting is going to make you three years stronger.

My fault for hyperbolizing

But I think it’s ridiculous to think it’s as easy as just saying “let’s lift heavier more frequently during the season”

And why you choose to compare it to a team with a bunch of upperclassmen who just played a great game, I don’t know

You don’t become an explosive athlete in the weight room. You could turn half of these kids into bodybuilders if you wanted to. They’d get worse at their sport but they’d look great while doing so.
