Watched the Alabama game several times, it's the reason I have confidence in Aranda

Against the no.2 offense in the country, Alabama, I was impressed by the number of great plays LSU made on defense despite having a gimpy Delpit. For the most part, except for a blip or two, Aranda called a great game against that explosive offense. LSU made critical plays on defense that helped win the game, the interception by Queen due to a defense that confused Tua and critical stops when Bama tried throwing a swing pass to their back, Chaisson was there and made the play while Lawrence was on the other side batting balls down.

LSU didn't make every stop but made enough against the second-best offense in the country. Though we all wish for better from LSU's defense from last week, I feel comfortable moving forward the more I watched the Alabama game. Aranda has the talent and scheme to enable LSU's defense to force other teams' quarterbacks into making critical mistakes. But I don't see any opponent's defense that can do that to LSU's offense. Brady's offense is simply too dynamic and Burrow is too accurate, athletic and smart. Geaux Tigers!

It's the big plays that worry me.

Yes! I won't make excuses. I know LSU won't make excuses, champions don't make excuses. They just man up!

Meh,

Ole Miss game was off an emotional win. The D still held them to only 7 points in the first half while the offense gained a huge lead.

We got run all over with horribly missed assignments by an insane fast QB.. still won by 3 tds, could have won by 4 tds if we wanted..

Didn't matter.

Weird I'm re watching the game rn too and listen fluke plays take 21 points off the board give them 3 for the Tua fumble and this game isn't close and it was a helluva game from the D, they were in 4 down situations the entire 4th

They had a hobbled QB who put up 41 pts on us. Not a good outing by any stretch.

If we just had a mediocre QB playing for us, we would’ve lost by 17.

Call a spade a spade people

Yeah, I'm getting downvoted like a muthafricka, but I was just simply wondering what his thoughts were on the OM game. lol

Loved the first half; hated that we got run all over in the second.

CTFO? Did I seem overly emotional with that post?

Here's a fact - the other three teams in the top four rank #'s 1, 2, and 6 in total D...and we're tied at 48th.

Look through my posts champ...I've been on the D's side all along, but stats like that don't thrill me.

They don’t thrill me either but W’s do!! When we have absolutely needed our D this year they have stepped up...they are kids they are going to have emotional letdowns...I doubt coaching changed from the 1st half to the 2nd half of the Ole Miss game... but I’m extremely confident the kids on defense mindset did same with Bama...at the end of the day they got the job done...yeah they fricked up but we won that’s all that matters. (Period)

Could you throw in any more cliches that don't really say anything? You pretended to respond to a question about the Ole Miss Game, but really you just said a lot of nothing.

This is probably true bc their defense is also below average.

I offered no excuses for LSU's defense last week, what more do you want? Guess I could melt like you and crawl into the fetal position. Or I could go back and look at how LSU's gotten to 10-0 with a win at Tuscaloosa, that broke college footballs' longest home winning streak.

Six of one, half dozen of another. It's a slippery slope my friend. Gotta play 'em one game at a time.
