Wasn't Davis hired because BK liked how he ran the team as interim coach?

I'm starting to think Davis was only hired because of that instead of his actual coaching skills. I'm hoping that BK fixes that issue and get an OL coach that can actually coach soon.

It defies explanation how LSU can be as terrible as they are on the OL considering how extremely well they have recruited the position.

Brad Davis has been on a tear recruiting OL since he's been here. No one can dispute that.

Difference between being a good recruiter, assessing their growth and coaching them up. He does 1 of the three but not the growth/coaching piece

I believe he was probably retained to keep Campbell and Emery Jones coming to LSU.

No he played the game and didnt run him out on fear of a bad rep with the "playas"

Will Campbell was pretty adamant about wanting Davis retained while he was being recruited. I’m guessing it didn’t hurt having a top 20 prospect in your corner when you’re trying to keep a recruiting class together.
