I'm going to get on the Washington board at some point today and find out if Ivars is a cool place to drink at the day of a game.

Report back and let us know. I did the same with our names. Just put it down in case the guy with the private boats never calls back.

Went to the Argosy cruise website and found this out if it helps, thinking about calling them all, will let you know when I do...

For those staying at the University Inn Ivar's looks to be within walking distance.

Thanks..."waiting until August" doesn't really seem like a good business plan. The guy at Ivars was very knowledgeable...

I talked to a girl and she was definitely on the ball about it. She said she had gotten several calls today, so I explained why.

Sounded like you can buy a drink from their bar for the ride. The restaurant is relatively close to the stadium.

Just called Ivars and spoke to Ron, the GM.... reserved 23 spots...they said after my reservation they only had 3 spots remaining on the boat. Said the boat holds 350 or so.

He took my credit card info but assured me they would not charge anything to it until the week before the game and that they would call to confirm my reservation before they charged anything. He also told me that I could cancel at anytime or change our group number by just calling or emailing him.

I figure we don't have anything to lose, because if we find something better we can always cancel. At this very moment, though, I think our plan for GameDay is to hang out around UW and sightsee/tailgate and find a bar near UW to watch the other games on TV during the day, head over to Ivar's around 4pm or so, drink there, watch the other games on TV, eat dinner which is included and then hop on the boat about 6:30.

Golfer... Just started a thread on the Washington board to get their opinion on all this. I guess we'll wait and see what they have to say ...

Hmm...that's strange...I called not long before you and he said there were 3 spots left...

I wouldn't stress over it...I'll probably be cancelling 3-5 of our spots at some point...I'll bump this thread before I do that, though.
