Yeah, so, Alabama is good... but sheesh... to not be able to run AT ALL was ridiculous.

No, Brick took over his recruiting area in North LA in Oct and Studs house was on the market before the Alabama game as well.

I believe Stud got caught telling some mistruths and dropping the ball in North LA recruiting.

That was probably a big factor.

It probably started at the Georgia game when there was no running game. As the season went on and there wasn't sufficient pass protection (along with terrible recruiting) Les knew it was time. The last drive @ Bama just cemented his departure.

yea, stud's fault whne a back fumbles going into the end zone and when a defense cant get off the field. Look, I was ready for stud to go, but he did not spend 11 years here because he was a bad coach...or because we lost 38-17 at bama...or that we gave up 50 to UGA....

Without going into details, I have it from a pretty reliable source that the last straw was Stud's disloyalty to the program.

How about years of underachieving offensive lineman, being demoted in recruiting and being demoted as offensive coordinator? The guy should be put in prison for thievery on LSU. I'm pretty sure after seeing Arkansas put Mett's career at risk and hobble off the field Miles finally realized his best bud was useless here. That with watching his young QB Jennings run for his life against Iowa probably did it in. Stud was about 6 years overdue from being fired by Miles. Ask any player coached under him and I'll bet none said he's a good coach. I have no love for this guy and I'm glad he's gone. Never been a fan after what one player told me about him. IDGAF if anyone believes what I have to say but his results speak for themselves. He's a prime example of coaches being best buddies and being stubborn/selfish to keep them around. Just saying.

I think Cam Cameron asked Miles to replace
Studrawa. Cam got the coach he wanted for your OL!

I think losing Hootie and Cam Robinson to Bama contributed quite a bit to his demise here.

I'm sure that's what he was dismissed for. But to tell you the truth I'm not to impressed with Brick Haley either, but his recruiting I guess keeps him on board. For a former NFL DLine coach his pass rushers look like they don't know the first thing about pass rushing. They don't try to do any kind of pass rush moves like the swim technique or flat out speed rushing going around the fat Olineman to get to the QB. All of them try to go straight thru the OLineman by bull rushing them.

i think coach cam brought studs overall body of work to miles attention in a way les understood; the OL coach is hurting the program and has to be removed for the program to ascend. losing OL recruits to auburn and alabama (the best ones) stung.

also, i noticed a lot more pulling guards and better blocking schemes in the bowl game than ever before. i think our OC was responsible for that; i'll bet stud didn't do shite coaching that game; ie, cam took over that job. it showed. stud leaving very well could have been the final straw that convinced collins to stay another year also.
