Some, yes. Where I might find taking an 18th year of English extremely stupid. Someone else might think learning Spanish pointless.
For example. While in school, I took tennis, bowling, etc. Those are no different....imo.

No, but I hate that son of a bitch.
When the whole Lester Earl thing went down, LE ended up transferring to Kansas, coached by RW.
Right now, the situation that is going on. Javonte Smart was going to either LSU or UNC. He comes to LSU. Obviously RW coaches UNC. Just the fact that he seemed to be sort of behind the scenes each time makes me skeptical of him.
More than likely it's coincidence, but I do not like the favoritism of the blue blood programs either so FRW.

That investigation went on for SEVEN YEARS. UNC basically admitted wrong doing but NCAA said they couldn't find any wrong doing. Makes no sense...unless of course it's not really about rules, integrity or academics and more about money, influence, and collusion behind closed doors.

So Roy Williams is behind the scenes telling Johnny Jones to pay LE? And behind the scenes recording Will Wade, or forcing Will Wade to offer Smart illegal benefits to come to LSU?

Well I believe we agree on something. I wish someone would blow the whole fricking thing up, and expose EVERYONE.

Roy Williams was absolutely behind getting LE eligible at KU with the help of LE ratting to the NCAA on Dale Brown.
And do you honestly think UNC has not offered Smart illegal benefits? What about Roy Williams and UNC make you think they do anything remotely above board.
Stop interrupting my virtual punch-face fest. I hate that guy. Every LSU fan should.

Yes, nevermind the decades-old fraud that the NCAA found. That decision was so unbelievably stupid and laughable. It's one of the most non-sensical things I've ever read. It's as if the NCAA pretended that the rest of us don't have functioning brains. Basically they ruled that although the classes were fraudulent, they couldn't hand down a punishment because besides athletes obviously benefitting from this, some regular Joes at North Carolina might have benefitted from the fake classes too. Ok NCAA. Nice institutional control.

I 100% believe that he probably was. Just like i believe that most recruits are. Including LSU. The problem is, Will Wade is sloppy, and got caught.

Well it's the NCAA's job to police college athletics, not police the schools academic practices. Just to ensure that special benefits aren't provided to athletes. They found that it was for everyone at the school. Not just to athletes.

Roy Williams represents everything that is wrong with college sports. He is the sleaziest of the sleazefest. He's one of the few people I would still, at my respectable age, punch in the face if given the chance.
You seem to have issues much bigger than Roy Williams my man

Was Roy Williams caught on a wiretap discussing offers with a shoe company rep being investigated for giving college basketball players improper benefits?
No but his basketball players and program were part of a proven scam where his kids were getting grades for classed they did not again, over a several semesters...This was done, not alleged, not subject to interpretation...done. And no one called for his job or asked that he give back the title he won that same year this all came down. Blatant hypocrisy.
Oh and someone else in this thread mentioned the Lester Earl deal...look up Luke Axtel from Texas around the same time...very curious as well.

Yes he fricking was
In exchange for Williams getting Earl to rat out LSU and Dale Brown, the NCAA made Earl eligible at Kansas. The NCAA had that much of a hard on for bringing down Dale.
That’s 100% what happened.

25 other universities are implicated in this. The problem is, Will Wade coaches at a university who's basketball program isn't deemed worthy.
Acknowledging that major programs all do this and then smirking and saying "but you got caught" is a trolly and shallow argument. Especially when several of these major programs are also implicated in the FBI wiretap.
But because Kansas had an assistant coach make offers over the phone they are somehow not viewed as cheaters with an asterisk next to their name. Why isn't Bill Self suspended by his university? Why isn't Jay Bilas and Vitale running around on national television calling Bill Self an idiot and a cheat? Kansas is an NCAA cash cow and because of collusion and inherent bias, the media mostly downplays that part of the investigation while tripping over their own feet to slam LSU.

Grades weren’t just changed, but fake classes were created that had no professors where they enrolled players in and gave them As. Think about that. They created classes without teachers for players and gave them As.
Rashad McCants made the Deans List at UNC without ever attending a class. And I’m pretty sure he has trouble counting to 10 and reading Goodnight Moon.
No punishment from NCAA. Why? Because UNC didn’t roll over and give the NCAA anything. They made the NCAA find the evidence, which they failed at because the NCAA is a joke. Hell, look at the academic scandal involving the celebrities and rich parents. The NCAA didn’t discover that, the FBI did. The NCAA is a complete joke. But Ole Miss and Missouri did cooperate and got the shaft from the NCAA. And what sucks is that it seems that we are doing the same thing as Ole Miss and Mizzou, helping the NCAA do its job and giving them what they need to punish us.
