could name atleast 10 coaches who were more qualified to take over the LSU job than Les Miles
Name them, sonnyboy.

Miles was a totally different coach in '07
Since his NC and subsequent raise, his performance has been disappointing.

His record at OK. St. was anything but impressive with a 0.571 winning percentage.
basically the same as Saban's winning percentage at Michigan State (.576)

With his inability to speak well, how the hell did he impress Bertman in an interview?
Mr. Integrity also double-crossed his current team (at the time) by skipping out during bowl prep for a secret interview
but of course on Saban would do something like this

Saban's record at Michigan State wasn't any better.

Year School Record
2001 Oklahoma State 4-7
2002 Oklahoma State 8-5
2003 Oklahoma State 9-4
2004 Oklahoma State 7-5
Do you know who Jimmy Johnson is?
This is his 0.535 record at Okie State:
1979 Oklahoma State 7-4
1980 Oklahoma State 3-7
1981 Oklahoma State 7-5
1982 Oklahoma State 4-5
1983 Oklahoma State 8-4
For so strange reason, people seem to think he was a pretty good coach. Why do you think that is with his anything but impressive record at Okie State?

Miles was as much of a right choice to follow Saban as Zook was to follow Spurrier.
Posted on 10/11/09 at 1:15 pm to bayoubaer
Yes he was the right choice.
It was just one game, but I understand the frustration.
1.Did most really think we would beat Florida? No. 2.Did most think offense would have shown up? Yes.
3.Has the offense shown up this year? No.
4.So why are we really upset more than usual after a loss?

but the likes of Bill Polian weren't knocking down miles door like with Saban. When Saban was hired I thought we stole him at the money we offered him b/c i knew he was a hell of a coach.

No, i said it before and I'll say it again; it was a cheap hire at the time that has come back to bite the program in the arse because of the man who was A.D. then. Then the 2007 season cost us a ton of $$$$$$$$ .....
Note: someone needs to start hiring coaches not on what the highest paid coache makes. There is a serious need to put incentives on W/L, BCS standings and Bowl games annually. Sorry, JMHO.
Maybe our new AD, J.A. can foster a new kind of atmosphere in this current pay day climate too staff and members.

we've looked bad EVERY game this year
finally there was no lucky BS to save LSU at the end, and we were dominated all game last night outside of 1 drive
people wanted to believe LSU would get better. we've gotten worse over the course of this year

You have obviously never heard him speak off-camera. Very well spoken, good wit, nothing like what comes across in interviews.

Have you send him in a locker room? He speaks fine there. Heard he does well in the recruit's living rooms as well. Why he fumbles when a mike is placed in his face is a mystery. My guess is he said enough of the right things for Bertman to put him on the short list. He wasn't Bertman's first choice from what I heard.
