superior talent overcame bad coaching.
I'm afraid that this is correct.

Yes, and for the umpteenth time since he's been the coach at LSU, superior talent overcame bad coaching.
Is he still winning with Saban's players, or can he take a little recruiting credit here and there?

yawn. it worked, didn't it? I certainly don't always agree with Miles, but why wouldn't his coaching style rely on superior talent?

He's recruited well. Further everyone of this year's recruits is on the roster and eligible. That is unheard of. No coach ever gets every guy eligible. He deserves tremendous credit for this recruiting, especially this year's class.

dumb question (especially given that i was at the game and watched the replay the next day), but was scott's td run on third down?

Ok maybe. But how do you answer the questions I posed?
from what i read, JJ asked for 1 more running play. Did he see something on the previous play, it did't say. But from UGA's prespective, LSU has to pass, especially since we only have one more time out, and we ran on the last play to move us to the middle of the field.
UGA played the odds and went into a pass stop D. The fact that the coaches called pass means they had confidence i the pass game. The question comes do to did JJ not have confidence in his play (i don't see why he wouldn't), did scott and/or the OL ask for the chance to run, or did JJ himself see something on the previous play.

He can and it is well deserved. Its the degree to which they are "coached up" after they arrived on campus that is in question.

More bullshite from the anti-Miles morons. Who coached them to make these so-called 'great bail out' plays? The same guy who is 46-11 maybe? If you folks had a shred of integrity you would give credit where credit is due...but that doesn't fit your agenda, does it?

I heard Les Miles say that it was JJ idea to run CS and they agreed to it.
So no Les Miles/Crowton were not being conservative and trying for a super long field goal.

I guess you havent noticed the amount of players Miles has put in the pros.

CS gained FIVE (5) YARDS on his 1st down run.
He gained 33 yds on his 2nd down run.
I do not understand the criticism at all.
Is 2nd&5 (with TO's available) a pass-or-we're-playing for a 50-yd-FG down? Really?

I have noticed. Have watched the Tigers play for a number of years for many different coaches. That's why I made the comment.

Is JJ scared to throw the ball with the game on the line?

JJ said but when I get sacked we wont be in field goal range
If there is any truth to this, it is a shame a Sophmore from Destrehan had to point it out to them.
With that said, I would lay even money on it being true.

I wouldnt say stupid, but we essentially took a "up 2 score" lead off the board with the failed 4th and short.
I like Miles, but come on, if there is any truth to a Soph bringing up the fact we need to avoid a negative yardage play, and Miles CHANGING it....one can only assume it had not crossed his mind.
