Perhaps he should become a Tiger?

Assuming this is true, then thats Indiana, Lsu, Note Dame, and now Vandy all in less than a year.
Kid has Jeff George written all over him.
We may have ducked a bullet on this one.

I don't think this is true, there was no word of him leaving ND, and I'm pretty sure he visited Vandy last yr before he committed to us.

Les can say whatever he wants. This kid for sure has no chest. I hope he reads the rant.

That Kiel rumor is just that...a rumor. It started with a txt to outkickthecoverage. It's 2012, anyone can start a rumor that goes national just by picking up their phone.

Yea, I'm sure Les "forgot" that the media reports on the biggest recruiting event of the year, never mind the fact that every local sports radio personality is there hosting the thing
In the pre-internet/cellphone/smart-device era the "Coach" could say stuff with assurance that it would stay off the record.
Not so anymore -the point was not to denigrate Les but acknowledge that in the heat of things we tend to forget surroundings and blurt out stuff.

You people that think Les is some bumbling idiot that is lucky to win all the games he's won crack me up.
Where did you get this from?

tigerprl,
Where did you get that info? Is it reliable? Very interesting info if true.
I've searched both google and Bing and didn't find any references to Gunner having left ND.

Reminds me, who was that recruit a few years back that backed out of LSU because his mother was pressuring him or something like that? They even had the video were he announced and his mom was in it.

Cassius Marsh or something from Cali?
He had LSU eye black on during the Army AA game and was screaming "LSU" everytime the camera was on him and then decommitted the next day

yeah it was Marsh, he was beasting in that AA game. had the motor of David Pollack, we were all excited.
just looked up his stats, looks like he's having a pretty decent career LINK
when kids are coming from that far away, you get a bit leery that they'll stick to the commitment. fortunately it looks like we're getting a good bit of our OOS recruits in as early enrollees.

I love the fact that we are chasing kids from all over the country. The expectations and standards set for recruiting have been second to none.
We EXPECT kids from 1,200 miles away to join our program. And when they don't, we cross them off and move on to other OOS recruits.
Just off the top of my head:
-"Stealing" Ohio raised Spencer Ware (5 star) from the likes of Michigan and OSU?
-Nearly "stealing" GK from the entire nation?
-Having a kid like Rettig, all the way from California, live and breathe LSU football?
-Ethan Pocic, top 3 OL, from Illinois?
That's just on the offensive side of the ball. I hope this trend continues.

I want to know where the quote in the OP came from. If this is a troll job I have to give it high marks for subtlety and creativity.

Regardless of any failing of GK, Miles is a grown arse man whose been wildly successful. Mocking an 18 yr old for changing his mind is beneath him and an embarrassment for LSU.
I agree with this. No matter what happens with that kid he should have never commented on him or at least in that way. Miles was caught up in the hype and moment of the bash.
I'm sure he regrets it. Can't blame a kid for wanting to stay closer to home. Yes GK could have handled it better but he's a kid.
