Was Chad Jones drunk when he wrecked his car/life?

I never heard whether or not he was drinking when he crashed his car. Either way it is a horrible accident and I am not blaming him, but it would seem that by now some information would have come out.

No, he was not.
And his life is hardly wrecked.

Hey a-hole were u not paying attention when the police came out and announced that no alcohol was involved or are u just trying to flame?

its definitely a possibilty. They didn't do any toxicology tests because he needed immediate surgery. They said "no alcohol is suspected." His passengers claimed no alcohol was present either, but obviously you would want to try to protect the integrity of a man's character when the only person he seriously hurt was himself. I wouldn't be surprised either way, but in a way, and I'm sure I'll get flamed for this, I hope he was drinking. Because if he wasn't, why was he driving so early in the morning and if he was tired enough to fall asleep at the wheel you can make a consscious decision not to drive. If you're drunk, it's harder to make that decision. Either way it's a bad decision, but I'd rather Chad have made the, in my opinion easier mistake, than to have just done some knuckleheaded that could have very easily been prevented.
Anyway, case in point, lesson learned, next time call a cab.

some of you need to fricking let it go. if the officer would have suspected alcohol was involved she would have ordered a blood test.
quote:
Newman and Mansion (the 2 passengers) told Bianca DeIrish, the investigating officer on the scene, that none of the three in the vehicle drank any alcohol before the crash.
quote:
DeIrish "did not observe the smell and odor of an alcoholic beverage" at the accident scene, according to the report.
quote:
The report says a DWI test was not administered because paramedics on the scene told DeIrish there was not enough evidence to believe alcohol or drugs were a factor.

If you were that officer, would you have? I wouldn't. Does no one else think the media may have distorted this? No chance at all?

no dumbass, i wouldnt risk my career to cover up a DWI, even if he was an LSU tiger
they still issued him a ticket for failure to maintain control.

You know what, to me it doesnt matter. I feel sick for Chad, hopefully he can overcome.
Posted on 7/30/10 at 8:25 am to Honkus
So you think he fell asleep or just sucks at driving/wasn't paying attention?

Same here, and he just got waived. Wonder how Rahim has been affected by this?

shite happens. As far as you people speculating that he was drinking, shut up. It's pure speculation and is completely unfounded.

doesnt matter what i think. the person's who job it is to investigate did not find probable cause to order a blood test.
if they really woulda been drinking all night they woulda reaked of alcohol and appeared intoxicated.

It doesn't matter what I think either. I was wondering what your opinion was on what really happened, based on the limited information that has been released publicly.

My opinion would be...
