You sir did not see the same game I did. Now replace these fumbles with interceptions and you would be yelling we had a 20 point lead why are not running insted of throwing it all over the field?
The truth is all the people who want Miles gone looks for anything, including things he has no control over like those fumbles. You say he should have coached them up so as not to do that. Well I say look a A Peterson of Minn sota Vickings he also fumbles and you don't think they Coach him on that? It happens by them all at somepoint and when it does there is nothing you can do about it has happened. All you do is start all over again and hope it doesn;t happen again.
It is stupid for Miles to get the blame simply because you don't want him as Coach and when you or someone comes on this site and berates the Coach you sir would be braking the rules.
Oh! By the way? There was possibly 3 maybe 4 scores taken away by mistakes that at the time they happened there is nothing Miles or anyone could do about it that is football and they happen in every game by every player at some point in time if they are playing hard, it happens! Without those mistakes LSU in my opinion wins by 30-40 points because you or I do not know the out come if they had not happened so get over it! I have!

truer words have never been spoken. these were the same people complaining when were a 10 win team. unless miles wins every game by 50 points, they'll still find something to whine about

see, you miss the point entirely. The people who want Miles gone are not complaining about end results. They are complaining about how we get there. Les Miles has not fielded a disciplined, intelligent, fundamentally sound team since 2007.
Sure you can win a lot of games that way. But, it is very difficult to consistently compete for championships. This is why people are complaining about the small things. Because over the long haul, those small things add up and keep you at home instead of in the SEC Championship Game.

I saw glimmers of hope and believe that teams can improve when they work on correcting their mistakes.
this is true, but only if they have a HC who focuses on correcting mistakes...obviously, we don't because we are making the same mistakes at the beginning of THIS year that we made at the end of last year (all of last year for that matter).

We are 1-0. Half the teams that played this past weekend cannot say that.
this is obvious, however, sadly enough, it sure as hell doesn't feel like we got the W. And, I bet we are the ONLY one of those 1-0 teams that can say that.
I support the troops, not the war. There is just such a great lack of discipline, which all goes back to coaching. We have so much talent out there...I just don't want to see it wasted. That's all.

I think many of us who say things about our players are only trying to vent off a little steam and don't really mean what they are saying, especially during the game when emotions are running high!!! But there are those who seem to like to "flame" the issues and deserve to have their posts taken off.
Thanks for doing the LSU nation a great service with this board.

Chris Peterson, who many think is pining to wear P&G if we would just offer, had a veteran team commit 11 penalties for 105 yards last night, a couple directly leading to VT scores. Frank Beamer, who is widely renowned for his stellar special teams had them contribute heavily to their loss. And Lord $abin, who personally coached the DB's when he was at LSU had miscues by that group cost several last minute losses (Drew Tate and Matt Jones remember even if the revisionists don't). IMO, this very young team is a QB and OC away from being a real force this year and a NC contender next year. And an incredible class already looking forward to playing for LM next year. But let's get rid of Les and wait for all the best coaches in the country to line up for a chance to take a job where a 52-15 record is a firing offense.

So no more ranting on the "Tiger Rant"

Down about half the numbers and only able to charge half as much for advertising. Someone is putting the screws to Chicken. It's called the Tiger Rant, not the Positiger Rant. I understand where Chicken is coming from but if you only want sunshine and rainbows about our football team then I suggest you find another board.
You see, that's the great thing about the Rant, it gives us the chance to discuss, argue and fight over our favorite topic........ LSU Football!

Thank you Chicken for explaining to some of our younger/immature posters.

As for Miles, he wasn't fired after last year, so it is ridiculous to call for his head after a 1-0 start.

To be clear, you mean harsh personal attacks, correct?
Justified criticism is still ok. . .right?

You don't suck and get to play football for LSU
From PP to the very last person on the end of the bench.
They fumble, they hold, they lose track of receivers, but the don't suck.
Some of these young men have dreamed about wearing that uniform for their whole lives, and it is a shame that armchair athletes belittle them.

After taking about 24 hours to simmer down, I agree with you. Perhaps we should all just take a breath. If we keep winning, no one will remember the second half of this game come November.

Not calling for him to be fired, just saying I wouldn't have a problem with it.
