How is he stepping down or is this just something we're being told so people don't completely freak out?

I don't know. But you'll have Les, Stud, and Krag all having a hand in playcalling? WTF?

Sounds like a co=tard situation like we had on the other side of hte ball in 08.

8-4 best case for us now.

Seems like the responsible thing to do. He can perform his duties when able, but there will be times when that might not be possible so you do this in order to instill some confidence in the players and fan base. That's my best guess.

didn't we go out and get Tulsa's QB coach a couple weeks ago? initially it was said he'd be a GA, maybe now he'll be the QB coach.

It means Krag will have lots of doctors appointments; medication changes, and stress and general malaise over the rest of his life so appointing Stud to this position maintains consistency, allows for a faceman for the program, and lets Stud take on more work.

Pretty sure it was "game planning" aka not as much on field stuff. More scouting and less hands on stuff

I would think the coaching staff has known this for awhile. Just wanted to tell the team as a whole.

My guess is that he will do what he can as much as he can. Then re-evaluate himself for next season and maybe be in better situation with his health and step back in .

This definantly made me step back on the excitement or this year but hell this could bring this team together and get them into that us a against the world mentality that AU played with last year. So I am still gonna keep my hopes high for this team

I doubt it. How long have they known? The guys hasn't been here that long. I hope Les didn't hire this guy for $700,000 knowing this was going to be and issue and just sprung it on the team the first day of camp. This does not sound plausible.

You have to be mentally retarded.

Krags was hired 8 months ago.
