Just looked at this and saw that this year's team is absolutely Wade's team, take a look at who was recruited by Wade:

SR. SG (6'3, 165) Daryl Edwards [Wade]
SR. C (6'11, 230) Kavell Bigby-Williams [Wade]
JR. CG (6'4, 200) Skylar Mays [Jones]
JR. PF (6'6, 217) Wayde Sims [Jones]
JR. CG (6'1, 165) Danya Kingsby [Wade]
JR. SF (6'6, 210) Marlon Taylor [Wade]
SO. SF (6'5, 215) Brandon Rachal [Jones]
SO. PG (5'11, 167) Tremont Waters [Wade]
SO. PF (6'9, 205) Courtsee Cooper [Wade]
FR. PF (6'7, 218) Darius Days [Wade]
FR. PF (6'10, 240) Nazreon Reid [Wade]
FR. CG (6'4, 190) Ja'Vonte Smart [Wade]
FR. PF (6'7, 215) Emmitt Williams [Wade]

10 from Wade and 3 leftover from Jones, pretty nuts considering he's entering just his 2nd season here

Wade is hungry as frick. He didn't just pick up two JUCOs to top of the #3 class. He picked two guys that played for championships as JUCOs.

Hungry coach that’s a dominant recruiter. Recipe for success in any sport.

Will this be it?

Anyone want to take an updated stab at depth chart?

Chinyohang will be here shortly to tell you that LSU will only be good next season because of the 3 JJ recruits remaining on the roster.

Really hope TAF dumps millions into whatever Wade wants whenever he wants it.

Keep that man happy.

If the verticals are true on a few of these juco guys this has to be the most athletic team LSU has ever had, right?

Yes, that's 13 scholarship players

Thread will likely turn into pissing contest, but dont think of it as starters/depth chart as much as minutes being played, my best guesses:

25-30 min/game
JR. CG (6'4, 200) Skylar Mays [Jones]
SO. PG (5'11, 167) Tremont Waters [Wade]
FR. CG (6'4, 190) Ja'Vonte Smart [Wade]
FR. PF (6'10, 240) Nazreon Reid [Wade]

20-25 min/game
SR. C (6'11, 230) Kavell Bigby-Williams [Wade]
FR. PF (6'7, 215) Emmitt Williams [Wade]

10-20 min/game
SR. SG (6'3, 165) Daryl Edwards [Wade]
JR. SF (6'6, 210) Marlon Taylor [Wade]
FR. PF (6'7, 218) Darius Days [Wade]

0-10 min/game
JR. PF (6'6, 217) Wayde Sims [Jones]
JR. CG (6'1, 165) Danya Kingsby [Wade]
SO. SF (6'5, 215) Brandon Rachal [Jones]
SO. PF (6'9, 205) Courtsee Cooper [Wade]

Just my best guess right now as to how normal minutes may break down. I could see Williams moving up to 25-30, he's very borderline there, Reid could even move down, he's lower energy while Williams is higher energy, but Reid's skillset is more advanced, so will be interesting to see how those 2 break down.

Dont see anyone much over 30 min/gm, we're just so deep. Maybe someone in that 31-32 range, but not really above that.

Bottom line is we have endless options for next season, it's crazy how far the roster has come from 2 seasons ago.

the speed of the turnaround has been pretty amazing, upon taking the job most thought 3-4 years of a rebuild with that shite roster he inherited. Now not only in year 2 are we talking tourney, we're talking how deep of a run they can make

He could, it will be either Edwards or Taylor IMO, but neither plays more than 20 minutes a game

That's why I sya who starts and who doesnt really doesn't matter too much.

I could see Waters, Mays, Taylor/Edwards, Reid, Bigby-Williams but 3 of those 6 guys I didn't even put in the top category. I like Smart and Williams' energy coming off bench early on and racking up a lot of minutes like you see in my breakdown

Only issue I see is the lack of bigs. If Bigby-Williams &/o Reid get hurt we'll be a super small team.

I think Mays is more to come in and spell Waters/Smart at the 2 guard spots. I think he sees more like 20-25 a game IMO.

And I think Emmitt Williams gets in this tier.

Rest I agree with. So just switch those two.

Hot damn, this is going to be a fun year

From last in SEC to Sweet 16 or better expectations in year 2.

That's insane.

If the two big men on any team get hurt, they'd be a super small team
