I didn't say he is going to recruit SEC Caliber talent. I said "should be able to." Also, you're cherry-picking facts to make your point. There have been guys to come out of mid-major schools with more than 3 losses and still had success at the larger school. Conversely, there have also been guys to have great success at those mid-majors and fall on their face at big schools. I'll repeat what I said earlier. I'm not advocating FOR Wade, or anyone else. I'm merely not tossing him aside like you because I feel your reasons for doing so are overly picky, at best.

You just said it and you didn't realize it. It's a low percentage of success and what I said was his resume isn't air tight. Which means his odds for success are lower in an already low rate group.

You're making very little sense. What I'm telling you is that other coaches' success rate has nothing to do with Wade. He either will or will not be successful based on his own merit. From what little I've been able to find while researching him, he seems to have the tools. Reports are that this will likely happen. If so, I'll be pulling for him to succeed.

Yeah, to me it's at least a pretty good hire, with obviously a dash of unknown that could tilt it in the direction of either great or mediocre.

My only hesitation is that Jeff Capel, Anthony Grant, Shaka Smart (still early) all failed. So it's a little nerve racking to me

Yeah, I get it. Not sure how fair it is to Wade, but it's understandable. I think we could do much worse than Wade, but he could potentially be a great hire. I think any time you go after a young guy like him there's a risk. At this point, I'm not sure what we have to lose. We could finish 14th in the SEC instead of 13th.
