How much you want to bet that he didn’t have an MRI scan at the PMAC in 2 minutes.
A clinical exam is not a scan
No need to downvote, How much you want to put on it?

He is probably talking about an xray...haha
That is for broken bones which isn’t the question anyway.
They will do MRI scan to look at the ligaments tomorrow

Wade definitely said they did "scans" in the Pmac after his injury and before he walked gingerly back to the bench.
I am not familiar with what machines are present in the pmac or adjacent basketball facility. Xrays will not evaluate soft tissue structures in the knee such as cruciate or collateral ligaments.
It is possible that Wade meant that clinical exams were negative for major ligament injuries when he said scans.
It is however possible that they could have an ultrasound machine. But, an experienced individual would be needed to read and do this exam for ligament injuries.
It is possible that an extremity MRI could be present. This machine is much smaller and cheaper than the traditional MRI we think of typically. Only your extremity fits in the opening in the machine. Also, it can be located in a much smaller room without radiofrequency shielding to the room. The images are not of the quality one gets with a high field strength traditional MRI, but could be used for a quick initial evaluation.
Remember, because of a net issue at the student section end, there was a significant time delay after his injury. Therefore, there could have been time to do a cursory ultrasound or extremity MRI.

Sit him out for Florida imo. Let that knee really heal and stop hurting for the stretch into March.

Wade said the initial “scans” looked good. You’re arguing with people who are just repeating what the coach said.
Now, I agree. It is VERY unlikely a MRI was done at the PMAC. However, it appears as least the clinical exam was optimistic. Wade is pretty honest. I doubt he would say he was hopeful if he knew it was likely a tear.
People are simply trying to be optimistic. But if you get off on trying to tell them how dumb they are, feel free, I guess

He’s saying the clinical exams were reassuring

That is exactly what I said in my first post in this thread
But whatever, horse is dead. Hopeful the MRI will show mild sprain

Looked awful live but replay did not look as bad. Not saying it did not hurt or cause pain but it looked like he needed an amputation when first seeing it

It looked like he just hyperextended that knee

Yeah it looked really bad real time. There was a collective gasp and dead silence in the PMAC

Hell yeah!!! We need Pinson!

Wade repeated in his press conference he was optimistic, but that their machine in the PMAC could only show so much. He thinks it is a sprain. Will do further diagnostic scans tomorrow. He thought best case scenario Pinson could be out a few days to a week.
It may have been a situation where the injury (along with hurting) really scared him, but it turns out much better than initially thought
