Their win over VT is no longer any better than our win over Auburn.

An average Arky team with (half LSU's talent) was beating Auburn 34-3 half way through the third when they pulled everybody and let off the gas.

Are you really saying Auburn could stay on the field with VTech? Give me a break LSU has a very talented, good but untested football team.

Bama has beat 5 of the middle of the pack SEC teams and LSU has wins over the bottom 4.

That said I think LSU plays their best game next Sat and we have ourselves a heck of a game.

Is playing the #1 team not a test? While Bama might be a better team, LSU has had the toughest battle to this point, regardless of if we won the game or not.

Dont know. I'm saying I'm not impressed with either of them. Tennessee's shitty kicker is the only reason yall left with a win last weekend. VT was you're toughest game and theyve lost 3 times. We did play Florida....

So dont give me this 'we beat better teams and are undeafeated' crap. The last part is true, but unearned.

They should have beat UF. This UF team is playing at maybe 80% of the 2008 team and IMO other than QB LSU has more talent on the field on both sides of the ball.

Honestly, based on VT's play of late (they lost to NC for crying out loud), I think they could. Granted AU has been weak lately as well. But I think they could "stay on the field". ACC vs. SEC.

This is a stretch. The middle of the pack and the bottom change constantly. LSU's SEC opponents have beaten a number of Bama's opponent. Bama's opponents are 3rd, 5th, 5th and 6th in their respective divisions. LSU's are 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th. Not a big difference. The only difference I see is that Bama is 8-0 and won more convincingly earlier. That and Bama beat VT which looks weaker every week hence the original post.

Watching that game last night was strange. It seemed like they were moving in slow motion.

BAMA is 8-0 at this point. Wins against Arkansas, VT, S. Carolina, & Tenn certainly rate higher than wins over Washington, Miss. St, & Georgia.

UGA> south carolina
Auburn> UT
and weve played UF. your schedule isnt as brutal as you gumps think it is. you havent played a current top 25 team yet other than SC (assuming vt drops out)

then why did AUBURN kill Tennesee
and why did UGA beat both Arkansas and South Carolina....idiot gump logic FAIL

and we beat both UGA and Auburn....if theyre bottom of the sec then what does that make Carolina and Arkansas?

It's still going to come down to how many points our offense can score. If our offense builds on what it did against Auburn, we have a good shot. If the old offense shows up, we're in trouble.

Abso-freakin-lutely!!!

After seeing VTech get beat by UNC....a team that is equivalent to Moo St.

I repeat...

Recruiting rankings don't support your opinion...besides, UF returned their entire defensive 2 deep off a NC team, no one, including Bammer, can compare with that.

Oh yes 3 - 4 Tennessee has been a brutal powerhouse this year - that is a very signature win to hang your hat on Field Goal kickers.

at this point all that matters is record. by the end of the season maybe you have to look more into it. the dynamics change so often that its silly to try to keep track of whats currently "a good win"

Jefferson is better and has more options that McElroy. If he can learn to take one step forward in the pocket, his major problem will be resolved.

The SEC top middle and bottom

Top
USC,LSU,Bama & UF. If Garcia plays well and they stay healthy they may give UF the best game they've seen all year.

middle
Ole Miss, UK, UT, ARKY

bottom
MSU, Vandy, Auburn, UGA

If you want to swap USC and UT fine but I think this is pretty close and USC will prove out to be the better team. If you want to swap UGA and UK fine but UK is playing better and it's close.

Look at it like this. If any of the top teams played the middle teams on a neutral field they would be the favorite. Same with the middle teams over the bottom teams.

I'll admit I'm a homer but Auburn really sucks this year. You beat a team that has gone down hill ever sense the D coordinators got a look at that smoke a mirror bull shite they call an offense.

In the SEC today they may be a favorite over Vandy and thats it. If they played again, MSU beats them today, UT with Crompton playing like he is beats them today, hell I think Butch Davis and NC would beat Auburn 5 out of 6 games.

No way VaTech wouldn't run all over the Tigles.

Yet Aub beat UT, UGA beat Ark and SC.

It's ok for Bama to hang their hat on blocking 2 field goals for a win, if it's ok for LSU to hang their hat on a goal-line stand against MSU for a win, right? I mean, UT is 3-4 and MSU is 3-5 right now....

The knife cuts both ways. The game next weekend will be a battle for both teams, and I wouldn't have it any other way. LSU is allowing on average 13.8 ppg and Bama is allowing on avg 11.3 ppg; LSU scoring avg is 24 ppg and Bama's is 32 ppg. Anything can happen.
