I am the one asking the questions.
Provide a link to your interpretation of why those sections are not relevant or bow out of this thread.

P.S. - A response like, "Because Alleva said so" does not constitute an interpretation of two sections of the contract.

You posted the contract. The implication was that those sections are relevant. It's not up to me to determine why you think they are relevant.

According to all known factual information, this has nothing to do with Miles nor is it serious enough to require the use of those clauses in his contract.

Again, as stated before by me and others, people who think Miles will be fired over something this minor, involving a coach who is heading out the door, and a player who has never played a down, are delusional at best and mentally retarded at worst.

You, my friend, are among that group feeding the frenzy of morons.

Typical response from the Miles minions. When upset, throw in a homosexual reference. That takes as much intelligence as calling a timeout...oh wait.

love how people equate their vocal minority displeasure with Miles to broad support for his firing
you are a fool if you think that the LSU fans that want Miles gone are a vocal minority

Do you think this all just came out? LSU has known about this since last summer and they waited until the end of the regular season to make the investigation public. Frankly the internal investigation was probably over months ago.

So if Miles was going to be fired for this, what are they waiting for? they are not waiting and he won't be fired

I believe the earlier part of your response answered this question. Do you think Kansas is just now hearing how much of a tyrant Mangino is?

I know you all would like to believe you're the majority but your not. If the vast majority of LSU fans wanted Miles gone don't think there would be atleast some rumblings on ESPN, CFN, CFL, or some other national sports show about fans wanting Miles out? But there's not...nothing...nada. Just some idiots embarrassing themselves on local sports radio.

Um, Choctaw, I have never met more of a miles supporter than my mother and if she wants him to move on then you are DEFINATELY in the vast minority...The OLE Miss thing sealed the deal, theres only one way for him to recover from that mess and he would have to win the who friggin thing..

and on the internet.

Sure,we need some improvement. Too many things continue to happen that shouldn't. And Miles doesn't have a lifetime contract after the 2007 season.

But to think "most LSU fans" want him fired now is laughable .

Miles is not going anywhere after this season, and baring a Wies like output next ear, he will be back for 2011 as well.

However, he will need a good showing next year of the calls for his head will get more vocal.

If Miles were fired after this year, who do you think would want to come here? Look at how well AU did when they axed Tubby? How many offers were rejected before they got yes? Miles is likely here two more seasons, so get used to it.

I skimmed the contract, and it looks like violations on Miles's watch aren't sufficient to be cause for termination. It has to be negligence on his part, or to have known about it and not reported it, or it to be a consistent problem he's ignoring. Unless he had a hand in it, or he intentionally created a situation that implicitly encouraged violations, this doesn't come close to "cause."

That being said, I don't think we should fire Miles anyway... there's room for improvement, and I'm sure he's gotten that message. That's where we are now, and that's where we should be.
