Exactly. This is about becoming a physical football team and winning in the trenches.

I wouldn't either. It was good to see some guys do well, but everyone freaking out about hunter needs to calm down. He'll be fine by the time august comes around. I'm pretty sure Mingo would not have done well in this drill either

Yeah, they O v D are so close together that the exchange is rushed. Don't know if you want to read too much into that

That's one of the things they're practicing here.

And Rivers looks to be bigger than 225 - after all the kid is 6'8" - he looks closer to 235.

I wouldn't completely discount it either. I think you can get a pretty good gauge of how Hunter will fare in run defense from this drill. Granted, there is plenty of time for improvement before the fall, and he was going against a damn good player in Josh Williford.

But run defense is my #1 concern with the 2013 team. Especially at the DE position. IMO, rushing defense is the most important stat in CFB. Yes, even more important than TOs.

A big difference when there is scheme involved and 11 players on the defensive side of the ball

Their were a lot of guys who looked impressive but Hill looks like he is going to pick up where he left off last year. I know its just a drill but that kid runs so well between the holes

Yea and he probably had more TD's then any FB since hester and even hester wasn't a true college FB. Miles looks like a genius for putting this kid at FB i have to give him that.

90% of this went to the Offense. J. Allen made 1 or 2 as did Freak n Ego.

Welter was dominated. Lamin better start at MLB.

Fobbs brings even more speed to the backfield.

Hunter will be just fine. He is not a DT.

Best practice video I've seen.
