Yep. That's why it's my THEORY.

So you are conjecturing from "presumptive evidence".
Right again.
Just asked that if my THEORY was wrong, then dispute it with EVIDENCE.
We all have a right to have theories. This is America.

Why? Why would anyone begin to assume the police, who were en route when everyone seemed to scatter from the fight, would STILL be there well over an hour after it broke up? If I had made a mistake in leaving, I'm guessing I'd have called the police to report it rather than driving my arse back down there in the hopes someone would still be there.

Hey, crowd have the police come yet?

Yes, he went to check Reggie's, but he said he would be back.

Ok, I'll wait. My dad will kill me if I don't talk to them.

No where in the police report does it say he planned on going back and that he asked patrons to inform anyone that he would.

Woke up at 8.
Watched T.V.
Drove my brand new Z-71, 20 miles to eat lunch with friends.
Drove back home.
Took numerous phone calls about work and fishing trips.
Washed some clothes. (maid is off today)
Typing truthful statements to a cyber crowd of misfits and liars and a few good ole boys.
Took a leak.
About to get a new HTC INspire or iPhone4 because my Motorola Milestone Android is a piece of crap.
Will come home, play around on the PC some more.
Wait for the LSU game.

But I personally think it is ignorant to pass some of the large sweeping judgments of the BRPD

I don't disagree with the sweeping part, but some of their moves do appear a tad odd.

Almost daily press conferences on a college bar fight where all walk away. The RO report which includes no mention of him speaking to bar employees. Police waiting 6 days to search a home of one of the LSU players and then waiting 5 more days to search another arrested players home.

I'm no expert on this kinda stuff so maybe all that means nothing, but seems a tad odd to me.

Which is exactly what should have happened here. Not fricking search warrants, DNA tests and felony arrests.

Bro ppl have broken vertebrae, fractured faces, fractured teeth, etc. People are going to get sued. If that DNA exonerates JJ, you'll be thanking the cops for how thorough their investigation was.

Because as we all know a police report is an exact transcript of the officer's every action and statement.

So you seriously think people hang around bar parking lots an hour after the bar closes? What the frick are these people doing? Are they homeless? Is there a perpetual crowd that hangs out in the parking lot of Shady's?

However, at 2:40 AM, the officer might have had nowhere else he had to be.
Really??? That is the busiest time in a 24 hour period for them. Get real.

Someone tells Lowery to get his arse back to Shady's to talk to the police. Someone tells office to go back to Shady's to look for witnesses?

Conjecture, BUT, the question remains, why at the busiest time of the night does the police spend an inordinate amount of time on this call? There MUST have been something that warranted OFFicer Stone to invest so much time to go to two different bars to look for perpetrators and/or victims.

Serious? If the cops are taking DNA samples from JJ then they're trying to match it to other DNA sample(s). I'll let you figure out the rest.

I wouldn't want to be the prosecuting attorney on this one.

Well, it's in his discretion to dismiss the case. As I stated in an earlier post, without the video evidence of the white-shirt wearing Jefferson leaving the bar, and the subsequent footage of the guy in all-black kicking the dude on the ground, this was still a tough case with which to go to a jury and ask for a guilty verdict on anything more than disorderly conduct. Too many stories and everyone's drunk. I simply would not have filed any type of battery (misd. or felony) charges because it's too hard to convict with these facts in any situation (much less outside of a bar at 2AM)...the burden of proof is too high at the trial level. With the current video evidence...I don't even know if a jury would find JJ guilty of disorderly. The felony case against JJ is a lost cause, and a misdemeanor ain't far behind.

So if the punk has someone else's DNA on his shirt, that exonerates JJ?

Yowza!
Though maybe using the BRPD's line of "logic" that thought process would work.

Exactly. Which is why the police went with the lesser charge. Oh wait. And why the DA decided not to prosecute. Oh wait. Well, thank you for explaining why events played out as they have. Oh wait.
